Family Resort with excellent staff

We just got back yesterday. We stayed 7days and 6nights at Crown Paradise. Overall experience was great. The staff is amazing. Pepe Boy (activities coordinator) is excellent at his job. Kevin (bartender) and Angel (pool waiter) kept the drinks coming all week long. My boys enjoyed the white sandy beaches. The restaurants were what we expected at an all-inclusive. The dinner reservation restaurants were more elegant with better food. The standard ocean view room was sufficient for us as we don't spend anytime in the room. The only complaint is the waterslides, zip line, and rock climbing wall were all under construction. The mini golf course was also disappointing, but can't complain too much since it was all-inclusive. My youngest enjoyed kids Paradise water park which is geared for kids 10yrs and younger. Bottom line I do recommend this resort and if we plan another trip to Cancun it will be at Crown Paradise.

Staff was great. Facility needs updates. Food was ok for breakfast and lunch. Dinner could have been better.

Pros: didn't have to leave resort to enjoy our stay
Location: never left resort
good food, good service, multiple bars, multiple restaurants, Waynes Boots was excellent. Employees were very helpful in all aspects of our stay

Nothing fancy

Food is not good Pools have water There are tvs in the room Broken refrigerator, called and it never got fixed The Fisherman restraunt had a waiter named Charlie he is a 5 star employee and we ate there twice because of him alone. No problem tipping him as he should be working down the street at a nicer resort. This review is coming from someone who always stays at cheap places all the time. Wife and I stayed at an adults only a few years ago, but brought our boys for this trip.The reviews the last couple weeks had me worried or thinking some people are just too picky. Not the case this place was just ok on its best day. Wish I paid more for some other hotel. Was going to lie and tell friends it was great, but if they decided to go I would be exposed so have to be honest about the stay. :)

Excellent facility

Very family friendly, staff were excellent and always smiling. Israel in the restaurant, Joel at poolside and Guadalupe doing kids hair and massage Also Alfonso and the kids club staff were all outstanding! They went the extra mile to make us feel special. Thank you.

Pros: Great people
Cons: A fellow named Paco seemed a bit racist towards us. Also the buffet was closed due to the earth quake in Mexico city, can't help that though.
Great Service, Peter and Malchor at the concierge were the BEST! Houskeeping was amazing also.

The staff was incredible! They made our stay great! The hotel needs some upgrades. The AC in the room was good but the ceiling fan didn't work. The resort has too many stairs that made some guests unable to get from one area to another without having to walk around the entire complex using the ramps. And some of them are too steep. You have to climb a hill of sand on the beach to get to the water. Resort was okay, not great.

Family friendly hotel

This hotel is all about families. I traveled with a four year old and a 12 year old. They had an awesome time. My four-year-old daughter really loved the water park my twelve-year-old son enjoyed the basketball courts and the variety of pools. They had a kid friendly show every single night and it was awesome. They had several activities throughout the day which keeped us busy. Once or twice they did try to convince us to speak to them about the timeshare. Once we told them we were not interested they left us alone they no longer harassed us. Make sure you bring Small Change. It was really hard to get to break a $20 bill. You will need small change if you're interested in tipping in American dollars which I was. You also need small change to get on public transportation. The staff at the dining area or extremely kind.... I was pleasantly surprised. The first day that we got there we were greeted by israel. I remember his name because it was our first impression..... he greeted us so pleasantly and made sure that we were okay the first day and any other day that we sat in his serving area. I would definitely go back to this hotel it was fantastic. It does need a little TLC but I didn't mind it at all because the people that work there are so nice. The drinks are a bit watered down and the food had a lot of Mexican flavor. Overall it was a great day and I would definitely go back with my family. I'm already looking into going back sometime soon.

Don't believe anything they tell you

Maybe you have to bring your five kids, maybe you're going and broke, or maybe you had to find a place to book a place to stay same-day like us, but staying here because you heard great things just can't be possible. After you drop your things off into your room, find another guest who has already been there a few days to find out what's what because the employees there will never give you the same answer twice. Find out what's in their room, too, because housekeeping also does things their own individual style. You can try talking to the manager, or whoever claims to be the manager, but they will just lie to your face. Now, this is NOT a place to relax, ALWAYS ALWAYS have your game face on because someone will try to get you to buy something every 2 minutes everywhere you go. You are only safe from that in your room. The buffet is a nightmare; screaming children will run into you, the staff will be angry that you are there, and the food is so terrible that they should pay you to eat it. Don't bother asking for a new glass because yours is dirty with someone else's food particles or anything like that, the next one will be just as dirty. If you can, just leave and find something to do or to eat (without the "assistance" of the concierge), Cancun is a much better place than this business.
