Good hotel. Good infrastructure but very modern. Staff very friendly. Breakfast buffet is very good. Other food options are ok but not fantastic. Beach is beautiful. Pool also very nice.

Pros: Location
Cons: Deal with the Resort Fee more directly, i.e. included it in the price rather than impose it as a surprise add-on.
Location: Day trip to Isla Mujeres; explore the town of Cancun; try various restaurants; relax on the beach; visit Cozumel.
I was surprised I had to agree to a $25 per night "resort fee" even though I had paid in full when I booked this hotel through Expedia. I don't think this is the best approach to ensure happy customers. The check-in staff told me I would be upgraded to an ocean view room; but that was what I had paid for already so there wasn't really an upgrade. The accommodations were fine and the location was excellent good. But the way they impose the resort fee and told me about the upgrade bothered me the entire time I was there.

Beautiful Hotel with Excellent Beach Front

Location: Great location - near to many restaurants and buses.
After seeing other hotels up the Cancun strip, we agreed that La Fiesta Grand Americana Coral was an excellent choice. It had by far the nicest and well maintained beach. The staff are amazing - attentive and fast. There is a $25/day fee (american) to use the many facilities. However, included in that fee there are coupons for a free dinner with wine after a lovely hydro spa treatment, pool, and jacuzzi; a couple of free drinks in various bars or restaurants and a free bottle of sparkling white wine served to you on the beach. There are many other coupons as well. We woke up each morning to an amazing view of the pools, grounds, and ocean. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Gorgeous Resort with Amazing Service!

Pros: The service was first rate. They'd notice when we opened a menu and would rush over to get our order in. Staff members remembered guests' names.
Cons: The persistent pitches to sit through the 90 minute sales promotion was the only thing that left a sour taste in our mouth after the trip was over.
This place is breathtakingly beautiful. It really does look like the marketing pictures in real life. The grounds are immaculate. They actually raked the beaches every morning to remove any seaweed! Both the pool and the beach are perfect for lounging and swimming, and steps from the hotel rooms. Everyone is friendly and helpful and welcoming. This is a first class establishment without any of the pretentiousness.

Travel with kids

We pick this hotel because we read on a magazine it has the best kids club in Cancun, is good but not the best, we have fun is a nice property with a beautiful beach, but very expensive for the experience

We were amazed with almost everything, the hotel, the beach, most of the staff were super nice, it was a little bit disturbing the concierge ladies, I don’t understand how they can be polite and indifferent at same time, they made us feel uncomfortable every time we needed something for them, besides that we had a wonderful time, thank you!

Amazing!

My fiancee and I purchased the Grand Club Unlimited Experience and it was worth every dollar. As soon as we arrived at the resort, we were escorted straight to the 12th floor for our private check in. They even offered us drinks! Everyone was so nice. Our room was on the 11th floor and had an amazing view of the pool and the beach. The room was very clean and spacious. Even smelled nice. The pool was perfect. I don't do well with cold water, but the temp of the pool water made me never want to get out. The beach was amazing and the sands were soft. Now to the good part. If you don't mind spending the extra money, I would recommend the Unlimited Experience. Free food and drinks at any restaurant/bar! My fiancee and I were getting breakfast TWICE every morning at the Champagne Breakfast. Their buffet is amazing. Even the 5 diamond Le Basilic was free. All we had to do was make the reservation. Room service was also free and we could order anything on the menu. Pool bars were also great. The best part was going to the bar at night and drinking as many mojitos as I want. Do bring a lot of TIPS. On our last night, we used our free one night romantic set up along with dinner. It was fantastic! We also had unlimited access to their 10 step hydrotherapy. The only thing we paid for was the massage. My only complaint: The room wasn't specified when we booked it. I was expecting a Master Suite since it was the Unlimited Experience. Unfortunately, we got a jr suite.

Beautiful place

Pros: Its very nice inside
Cons: The look of the hotel outside
Location: Smack down in the middle of the Hotel Zone you can do a lot.
Other then the outside of the hotel looking a bit dated. the inside and the layout of the hotel is nice. the hotel service was great too.
