Entertaining for sure!!!

First you go here for entertainment not for the food although the food was ok. It's resort food not 5 star food. Drinks are good but if you want great drinks go to their Fountainableu Bar in the pyramid top shelf liquor. The entertainment is TOP notch!! Our room 1105 was great!! No noise and great view plus close to everything. Con sewer system would smell in the hall but how long are you in the halls. It wasn't every day either.

Summer vacation positive and negative

Pros: The view of the ocean and the strip
Cons: The food is number one. The drinks and having a choice of better alcohol The air conditioning in the rooms. less birds, they pick at the food
Location: 15 min. walk to Aqua world 15 min. drive taxi or bus to the strip and night life 10 min. drive to the mall 20-25 min. drive to the airport
I was so excited to stay in the Grand Oasis Cancun this year. Reading up on reviews it looked great! Let's start with the positive: - The view was amazing and we upgraded to a balcony ocean view room at no additional cost. - Right on the strip with easy access to the night life (via 10 minute drive with a taxi or bus) - Nice staff - Somewhat clean room - The lobby is beautiful - Cigar shop and hookah lounge is cool but not all inclusive. You have to pay for drinks in each spot. - The hookah was $25 per flavor every time and it only lasted around 15 minutes. - The tap beer is great (how could you mess that up) Negative: - The food was horrible. - The restaurants all had different names but were literally all the same food. - If you wanted a nice breakfast with the "Gold" bracelets you would have to pay $20 pp or else you would be stuck with the cafeteria food - Liquor was sub par. We usually always bring alcohol when we travel at the duty free place just because we know it is not great vodka or rum. - the only food during the day was the 4 spots near the pool with "hamburgers" (made of pork no beef), chicken nuggets and tacos. We just about had the tacos every day because that was the best tasting food - If you wanted room service there is a $12 charge per delivery. This was the same food from all other places. - Pools close around 6 and it get pretty quiet. Maybe since we traveled in the off season.. Overall I would of stayed at another place, with better food..

Never staying here again!

Pros: i like the nice employees! they are nice but not management at all..
Cons: Everything!! specially the treatment of the hard working employees and the safety of everyone!
Location: great location but horrible place to stay!
I had stayed here one prior time and it went pretty okay, but this time we had the worst time ever and will not be staying here again. My bf and i stayed here for a week, there was a fire and it took the resort one hour to call the fire department, luckily no one was in the building but there are no fire sprinklers or anything to keep people safe. It took two hours to turn the fire off, it went from one room and it turned to 26!!! anything near the building was shut down. the buffet and the bar, the coffee place. The reaction and non action of the management was scary and i felt very unsafe. For the next days there was not much to do we made the best of it. on the 4th day there was a shooting at the beach and a person was killed during a jet ski session. No one said anything , no information not even to the employees , this resort does not care about their hard working employees lives or the guests!! The employees where asking us about the incidents there is no communication at all and no one to calm the panic. Again nothing open just the pyramid bars and restaurant that we did not have access too bad move on management why wouldnt u offer all your left over resources to the people still staying there . Never again, this place is a death trap.. we had so much fun the previous time i dont know why they moved the dj to where u cant hear it while you are at the pool.

Came to this hotel several times and everytime it gets better and better , big upgrades especially having a caisno now , mostly youth people and mostly a party scene. Wouldnt reccomand it to familes with little kids , the beach is awesome and im def coming back !

Well situated but noisy. For party animals.

Pros: Confortable bed
Cons: Another mirror outside the bathroom and newer faucets in the bath. The food also could be improved. It's quite ordinary.
Location: Katamaran to Isla de Mujeres, Xcaret and beach
The hotel is ok, although it's dated, but the food is not so impressive, nor the wine. We add problems having a lock for our safe but eventually got it. we enjoyed the beach though and the confort of our bed.

Good time

Grand Oasis Cancun hotel was a great stay. Ocean view was definitely worth the stay. The hotel is clean and the cleaning staff is attentive. It rained 3 out of 4 days there and the staff worked to ensure the floors were safe. The food is like resort food.

Totally close to the beach...really great.

Pros: Breakfast atmosphere, food and employees...really great service.
Cons: Employees should be more pleasant.
Location: If you want go downtown, a cab or a bus will make it. Also the tours are really well recommended.
This resort is a great complex of restaurants and if you want to be busy ..yes you can find a great pool and drinks and at night good experience as well. The breakfast is the best part of a rich gastronomy. Some employees are welcoming you and others ...it seems you do not exist. Disappointed with minibar...it was really hot...and it was not in my room, but in my friends' as well. They doi charge for safe...yes they do...what I was frustrated at the check out, once agent that checked me in never told me about the charges...of course I paid but it is an alert ask every possible questions to avoid surprises at the end and if any thing in the room...report it immediately.

Nice hotels, pool, activities

This is the first time for us to stay here, but had a chance to know this hotel last year. We visited this hotel for day time last year, but not stayed here for last year. This time we deicided to stay at Grand Oasis Cancun. Yes, more options to eat for restaurant, more options for bar, night club, and activities. The things we are a bit disappointed are refrigerator in our room is not cold, and air conditioner is not working so well enough. Still worth to come back for next year for me. If you stay here , try the white box restaurant, and careyes restaurant....

nice hotel, bad supervisor and no shows

Cons: the staff and honesty about the hotel.
i had a problem with my flight and i needed help adding an extra night to my stay. 8 people 3 rooms. i was directed to a supervisor Guadalupe. i explained to him what happened and he simply directed me to a phone and said to call expedia. he turned around and walked away. very rude. Also i was told by expedia we would have two phones with free wifi. And the hotel said no! on the website i saw they have shows and many activities and there were none on the weekend, and thats why we stayed the weekend. very disappointed.

Our balcony door wouldn't lock and they still wanted us to pay for a lock $8 a day .. def a party hotel not for families
