Lots of fun had here

Stayed for 8 nights in November 2017. We had a great time here. The resort has plenty of action all day. The shows at night were certainly the best we have seen in all the resorts we have stayed. One of the main contacts for the nightly shows was David. Of course he did a lot during the day too, but he would come to your dinner table in the evening to promote the evening entertainment. It did not disappoint. I think our favorite was the Broadway musicals. Fabulous! Very talented in music, dance and singing. Daniel was our concierge at check in. He made us feel welcomed from the start. He arranged all of our dinner reservations for the specialty restaurants. Nathalie was a cafe hostess. She is a sweetheart. Lots of energy and just as nice as can be. The buffet restaurant had excellent staff Everyone we encountered was busy. Mario made a mean omelet. Dulce was our housekeeper and she did a great job. On my birthday, she made the towel as an octopus, left a rose a color of purple I have never seen and balloons all over the bed. The Japanese restaurant was our fave for specialty restaurants. We went there 2x. On my birthday, they surprised me with a song and slice of cake. Beach was amazing though water is pretty rough in Cancun. Would definitely recommend.

Very dated rooms. Needs renovation. Otherwise was OK. Nice staff. Great food and drinks. Great for kids.

Wonderful Relaxed Getaway

Pros: Comfortable rooms and beautiful grounds, tasty food (any time!), and easy to traverse the large property with lots of places to sit and relax.
Cons: Our room could be updated some but the cleanliness and twice a day housekeeping made that a non-issue.
Location: We stayed on the property the whole time so not sure about the surroundings.
We just spent an extended weekend and it was great. The room was clean and comfortable and the little balcony was the perfect touch. We loved sitting there in the morning or evening, checking emails and reading, when we needed a respite from running around the property. The pools were beautiful and it was nice to have the choice of so many and the beach was perfect except for the wind, but that was ok too. As for the food, no complaints. The buffet had lots of choices and variety, something for everyone, and we never had to wait in lines. The hibachi restaurant was our favorite but loved the steakhouse too The drinks were a bit "light" but not so much that we didn't have a good time. All in all a great stay!

Nice hotel amenities

The staff is very welcoming, the food is good, the beach side restaurant is pretty but it is close to the beach and its open so if you dont mind getting some mosquito bites while having dinner is fine

Nice hotel with excellent customer service.

Pros: The staff and overall service are outstanding.
Like I said in the title Iberostar Cancun is a nice hotel with excellent customer service. It is close to the airport and many attractions. For me I really like size resort. Not too big and not too small. It's small enough so you can meet new people and run into them again, but large enough to get away and not feel like you are stuck with the same people all of the time. Like wise it is large enough that there is plenty to do, but small enough you don't feel like you are walking for miles to get from one place to another.

Nice hotel just be aware Pay everything before

Extremely disappointing with the charges I got when I got to the hotel Expedia told me I had to pay £250 extra to have an extra guest , among I could pay straight at the hotel I got to the hotel , they charged me over £500 Iam absolutely disgusting with the fact that I was mislead , I feel robbed and worst of all either Expedia or the hotel wanted to take responsibility for the dishonesty I came back in debt and stressed all week about how to repay the bank

Never again Iberostar

Pros: The service from the pool staff was great. Room service was also good and fast.
Cons: Do not try to push timeshare breakfasts on people.
Location: The location is near the airport, a little far from main attractions at Boulevard Kukulcan.
We got to Cancun and they "upgraded" my room; except the upgrade was to a room right beside their own construction site, where I would hear a crane compressing the soil every 10 seconds from 9am to 6pm. The air conditioning kept the room at a sweaty 27 degrees. They changed my room after one night but did not agree to refund the night. They sent me a champagne bottle and strawberries to the room - in an all inclusive where champagne and strawberries are included. Furthermore: The iberoviajes - or something - travel agency inside the hotel sold me tickets to Cocobongo without transportation on the argument that the pub´s rep would not visit the hotel that night. What do we find later? The rep, with tickets at the same price, only transportation was included! I complained at the Guest Services desk and they told me "even if the shirt says Iberostar and the agency is inside the hotel, they are a different company and we cannot help". The rest are details: below average food at the buffet, non-brand alcoholic drinks and one elevator out of three that worked...making the queue as busy as a metro station.

Returning Customers...

Pros: Beautiful and clean....absolutely love whatever the scent is, that is piped in throughout the lobby. Really like the nightly entertainment.
Cons: Expand the gift store....bathing suits, cover ups, flip flops, etc....would be nice to find some higher-end resort wear to purchase.
Location: Iberostar Cancun....didn't leave the resort, so a bigger gift store would be nice, on site.
This was our second trip to Iberostar-Cancun, and once again, we were not disappointed. From the moment you enter the front door (and breathe in the gentle scent in the lobby), you know you are on vacation. The staff are wonderful, our room was stocked and clean (every day), the food was plentiful, and no one makes a Miami Vice like Sergio in the pool! The coffee shop was new to us this trip, and Trish was always there to meet us with a smile, and a great cup of coffee. Each night there is a different entertainment event, and the staff and performers do an excellent job....we love you Martina! The beautiful surroundings, awesome pool, overlooking the ocean, friendly staff, and great food will bring us back for our next beach vacation....Thank you Iberostar!
