Excelent vacations

We spend one week, the steak house and japanese restaurant very good. The shows, the staff, tha activities were excelent. We want to recomend to start your day with yoga class with Claudia in front of the beach. I can,'t think a better way to start your day.

One of the best beaches in Cancun!

A lot of renovation in process, a little disappointing the beach restaurant/ Mexican restaurant at night was closed. The pool was great, something for people of all ages. Our room was clean, comfortable and the view was gorgeous! Would recommend and would go back!

Very nice hotal with beautiful beaches

Friend had a wedding at this hotel, very nice and clean hotel. Definitely one of the nicest in the hotel zone region. Staff were friendly enough, but not overly impressive. Extended stays become repetitive due to only a few hangout and food options. Overall it was a great place to stay, and the pools and beaches were gorgeous. To me personally i would recommend short stays here over longer ones.

Beautiful place and staff.

Pros: Cleanliness, willingness of staff to point out locations to visit, etc. Great location right on the beach with awesome swimming pools.
Cons: I can not think of anything that could have been improved during our stay.
Location: Right on the sea with beautiful beaches. Very close to great shopping.
Great vacation from the fist day. Iberostar was very impressive with its location, staff and food. Booked excursions right from Iberostar.

Grate location

Close to the shops, airport, ocean. Beach has sea weeds in September. I understand it's a hurricane season, would be nice if they clean them up. Another negative ....too many mosquitos. Dinner restaurants nicely decorated, but need more variety and quality. Pools are great . Bartenders super. Yoga instructor Claudia is very professional. Entertainment team is fantastic. Dancers are brilliant. Music band and singers are super. I will come back

Very family friendly

I took my four year old to this resort and she had a blast. There are so many pools, you never feel over crowded. They have a special pool just for the kids. They do shows at night starting at 8 or 9 depending which were corny but cute. The food at the buffet was decent, my four yo enjoyed it. But they have three other restaurants you can make reservations with the concierge for and they were all amazing (I think there is a fourth restaurant for reservations but it was under construction). The staff is what really made the trip. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Everyone spoke to my daughter about what she wanted/needed. People went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Specifically Havier in the dining area and Manuel on the entertainment team. It was amazing. We did have a slight issue with the alcohol. We had a difficult time getting buzzed but that could simply be due to the amount of food/water we were consuming and we were sweating a lot too.

all about the pools and beach

The complex pools and beauty of how wide the beach is, is what makes this hotel great. We had some great staff interaction as well (Jorge) is amazing!! The food though was barely eatable! The Mexican restaurant unfortunately was in construction, the French restaurant was so terrible ! Not the actual restaurant but the food was not even palatable! There was no real Gluten free options, like other cancun all inclusive places I have been. The Japanese restaurant was great. Probably the best. The steak place was ok. The steak was great but the buffet food was in the steak place as well. The buffet, was ordinary, and heavy on lunch meat cold cuts and cheese, and bizarre vegetables, and marinated items. This is the first iberostar I have ever been to. I can honestly say I will never go back. The hotel room was in need of updating! Thank goodness this place has an amazing pool, because this was the only AMAZING thing about this resort!

Nice Stay

Nice hotel with awesome pools. The rooms are nice if you're staying in an ocean view balcony. The buffet food was great (better than other Cancun hotels) and the restaurants were great! Disappointed in the staff customer service. It's like if you didn't speak Spanish, they wouldn't take you seriously. My friend got shocked while at the swim up bar because some genius thought it'd be smart to have electrical outlets there. Someone had placed a key inside the outlet and when my friend's leg accidentally touched it as she walked by, she got shocked terribly. It burnt her skin and she was very shaken up. When I complained, the maintenance staff simply came up and laughed at us as he talked about it with the bar staff (unbeknown to him I'm fluent in Spanish too and understood their entire conversation). I was, however, very pleased with the decorations provided in my room for my son's birthday! From that experincr alone, I will not be returning. I was also disappointed that my $50 credit was not honored upon check out.

Very pleasant experience except for concierge

Pros: Pool, Beach, Food, Animation, Night Entertainment, Poolbar, Hibachi Restaurant, water temperature, attentiveness of staff, cleanliness, room, bed
Cons: Stop the aggressive pushiness of the concierge (they said they do it mostly to Americans and Brits, but mostly spare all others), it is horrible!
Location: In large safe Hotel Zone, long white beach, water activities nearby, nearby Mall and nightclubs accessible by taxi/bus/car up the road.
All inclusive really means all inclusive here: Buffet & a-la-cart, 24/7 room service, mini bar, on and in the pool, on the beach, they really make sure you are always taken care off. Staff is friendly and attentive. Poolbar is awesome, plenty of activities around the resort as well, plenty of places to sit and relax by the pool, plenty of shaded loungers on the beach, food options are plentiful as well. Nightly in-house free entertainment is very well done and has production value, the quality of which pleasantly surprised us. Overall this place is amazing and worth every penny, you just have to make sure to do one thing, which leads me to my only complaint: The concierge which you are guided to right after check-in is actually a pushy sales person that will try to get you on the hook for all kinds of promotions and will talk your ear off when all you want to do is go to your room and unwind. Be sure to NOT sign any "invitation" to a welcome breakfast, because they do not tell you that your signature is actually a commitment to sit through an over 2h long sales event where they try to get you to lay out several thousand dollars for memberships. If that's what you are looking to do on your vacation, go ahead. If no, stand up and refuse to sign the paper and ask them to not call you (they still called our room 5 times in the first 15h, then a complaint to guest services stopped them). So First impression: horrible. But after that it was smooth sailing and absolutely amazing.
