Nice hotel. Nice staff.

Pros: Their rooms , The staff .
Cons: please change their drinks. they can improve that.
Location: Ive been so nearby to the malls.
I expected more. I didn't like their drinks , and I didn't see too many activities to have so fun .

Bad Choice

Cons: Change management and put palapas or umbrellas on the beach for shade. The palm trees just do not work
Location: Across the street is the Kulkucan plaza and you can walk to the Isla plaza
If you are a beach lover like me, this hotel is a very bad choice. There is no shade on the deep wide beautiful beach overlooked by this hotel. The hotel provides plenty of lounge chairs on the beach, but no umbrellas or palapas to provide shade for a respite from the scorching sun. Hotel management refuses to put umbrellas or build palapas on the beach, but just planted another 24 palm trees that might provide some shade in twenty years. You have three choices while using this beach, fry, pay $20.00 U.S. per day to rent an umbrella, or buy your own umbrella. My wife and i decide to purchase a beach umbrella, which cost $25.00U.S. which we used for the 23 days we were at this hotel and then gave it to the lifeguard for his personal use. In one way it was like having a private beach as the wife and I saw an occasional hotel guest come to the beach grab a lounge chair and stay 30 minutes or less before returning to the pool area to avoid being burnt to death on the beach. Unfortunately the three pools at the hotel are like steam baths as the water gets so hot it is very uncomfortable, like taking a hot bath. My wife used the pools twice. The first time she got a fungus infection and the second time she got a very bad rash on her neck and chest. During our stay, the main pool was closed for the day on two different occasions to disinfect and completely clean.

Bad experience with the time share sales people

Pros: service it was great from waitress and waiters, restaurants and food were ok

Location: well located, beach is nice
I understand why they need to offer their time share program, but what I'm definitely against is pushy sales people that try to trick you into buying something you do not need! Probably it was our mistake attending in the first place, but since that day the weather was not nice to be outside, after the tropical storm that recently hit the area, we said to ourselves nothing better to do, and they were offering us a 30% discount vouchers for future vacations, so we went ahead with the invitation, but we encounter a very tactless female sales manager trying to push their product to the point that we felt mistreated and not respected! it was not a good experience! and the vouchers turned out to be 30 to 15% discount, they will get to decide what discount will give us! something is telling me we will get 15% if we are lucky... the other hotel staff was EXCELLENT, the waiters, waitresses, bartenders, kitchen, pool activities all are excellent dedicated employees trying to do their best to offer an excellent experience! it was a shame that all of that was dulled by the greedy sales group! it will be also good idea if administration put a little more control on them! installation in general are fair, exceptions: one of the two elevators was broken, and there is no shade cabanas in the beach, that will be a nice addition!

Pros: Hotel staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: Food is likely on par with other 3.5-star resorts but could still be improved.
Overall, had a great time at Tucancun given that we were in Cancun to party. Worth pointing out some considerations for those more worried about the resort. The food was not great, even the a la carte restaurants. The beach water was nice, but a lot of weeds and very strong currents. Most of the rooms were very nice, but I was given a small suite with one bed despite asking for two doubles. The suite was also leaking a little (either from the A/C unit or rain), and the A/C unit didn't work very well. However, believe this to be exclusive to our room as our friends' rooms were great. Ultimately, would still recommend to friends and colleagues if booking at the right price.

Nice beach

* The $500 "resort credit" IS NOT a resort credit! That is a false advertisement! I need to write to the BBB about this. * they need to ask for an ID before replacing any room key! A stranger walked into my room at midnight! ........but they sure ask for ID's AND passport to exchange dollars to pesos!. *The food at buffet was very good, Mexico Lindo Restaurant was great.

Good Property

Pros: The property as far as the beach goes is very nice. The hotel itself is very old.
Cons: The service in the restaurants could be and should get a lot better. Thye weren't any friendly waiters.
Location: Good location on the beach.
The staff in the restaurant was not very friendly and didn't provide a good service. They do not care very much to serve you.

Nice clean hotel with 3 pools and beachfront

Pros: The staff was friendly, the food was good and the place is clean. I like that it has 3 pools and is a beachfront hotel.
Cons: your drinks taste like medicine and you could use some more entertainment for your guests.
Location: The location is perfect and the bus is consistently coming by.
I really liked this hotel it was clean and the staff was friendly with the exception of one person who worked the front desk at night by the name of Carlos Q. he was rude and non helpful. Jose the bartender was amazing. I will say the hotel is missing some fun entertainment. It's more suitable for an older crowd who likes quiet. My teenagers were a little bored. some suggestions would be dance competition with the guests and staff, aerobics in the pool etc. etc. The drinks itself taste a little like medicine but Jose put a lot of genuine effort. The food was good and tasty.

Disappointing stay

Cons: SERVICE, MUSIC, DRINKS, ENTERTAINMENT
The hotel was alright however the drink were very weak and the activities lacked. The activities committee could be a lot more lively and interactive throughout the day, as in many other Cancun resorts. Also, they only play music by the main pool (and it is not very lively or fun music). In the Lobby Bar it is very boring and does not make you want to go out, they play Jazz music basically the entire time and just make you want to go to bed. Would not recommend this resort. The food was alright.

Every employee was doing great

Great vecation. Ponco did great. Housekeeping Klaudia was very profesional. In restorant all staf great. On Bufet everybody great. Sesi and Pavlo great job. Very friendly staff .In pool was clean and very good staff care for the people. I definitely recomend this hotel for other people.

We had to change rooms 3 times because 2 of the roo.s the AC did not work. The 3rd room smelled like very strong paint.
