Nice hotel beach front.

Pros: Great value and always clean.
Cons: Longer hours for the restaurants or somewhere to eat later.
Location: Things to do are just a bus ride away.
They were great. They upgraded us at no additional cost.

OK hotel, terrible service

Hotel is fine, a bit dated for the price but if you're willing to spend a couple of bucks more you can probably afford a better stay at a nicer place that has a better beachfront. Staff were terribly rude, our entire stay we felt like nobody wanted to attend us or give us service (reception, restaurants, bars). The room is just about what it's worth considering the pricepoint. I will not be staying here again and would advise against it.

Long weekend trip for four

I went with my girlfriend and two friends. The place was a good value for what we paid. Staff was pretty nice although we had very little interaction with them. It was a smooth check in and check out. Fernando check us in and he was great. The pool is nice and clean and stays open later than most resorts. The beach chairs were all in good condition. Beds and rooms were comfy. Parking was easy and safe.

Hotel staff is very friendly, grounds are kept very nice. Beach is awesome and very close. This a family resort. Enjoyed our stay.

Hotel on the beach, very nice.

Pros: The facilities were excellently maintained and the room and common areas were impeccably clean. Beach easily accessible and amazingly clean.
Cons: Perhaps they could offer a "extra" amenity for partially ocean view rooms....like MX $250 restaurant credit per stay.
Location: Easy walk to Playa Delfines (beach) and El Rey ruins. With the Royal Carribean next door, the combined complex offered a variety of facilities.
The check in process was very quick and staff knowledgeable and spoke good English. We were in our rooms in about 10 mins after arriving at hotel. Our request for a high floor was not honored. They claim all rooms have an ocean view and they do. But ours was on third floor and ocean view was mostly blocked by the restaurant building roof. Perhaps it is because of the room rates paid through Expedia. Room and amenities were excellent and it was like coming home.

THERE WAS HAIR IN MY BED AND BATHROOM! USED SOAP 2

Pros: The Lobby decoration
Cons: Room cleanliness
Location: Location is OK but not in the center of Cancun There are not too many things to do nearby but when you buy a tour the bus will pick you up @the hotel
Disappointing! There was a lot of hair in the tub and bathroom floor. Also, hair under the blankets. We called the receptionist to get the blankets changed the next morning so we had to sleep with the bed in that state the first night. I guess they didn't clean the room before we checked in. Pretty bad, we are not coming back to this hotel

Standard Mega Hotel

Pros: Our hotel had a kitchen, dining table, living room with pull out sofa, and a proper bedroom complete with a queen sized bed.
Cons: The shower curtain did not properly keep the water in the bathtub. The floor was completely soaked after each shower.
Location: We were not able to go to the beach while staying here, but there is a very large pool and two large restaurants inside this hotel.
The Royal Islander is a cheap option we took to sleep for one night and get to the Cancun International Airport by 6:00 AM. The amenities are fairly standard here.

We stayed for one night but we loved it!

We stayed our first night arriving to Cancun and only for one night because we were going to arrive late and we wanted a comfortable and cheap place. It turns out we thought we were going to get a regular room. Little that we knew all rooms are suites. Sweet! Nice dining and living room and little kitchen with 2 folding down beds in addition to our room. Nice breakfast included in the price. The only thing to think about is that if you don’t mind waves it’s a perfect ocean. Other than that if you want a calmer ocean like a swimming pool try to stay at a place close to Plaza Caracol. Hotels in that area are the Krystal, Riu, Dreams Sands Cancun, etc.

Location: Near everything
Wonderful stay. Staff treats you like royalty. A much needed Vacation and was pleasantly surprised. We definitely will visit again.
