The Westin Regina

Excellent value! It had everything I needed for my stay-clean room, friendly staff, and free wi-fi, and use of gym. It also allowed me to check-in early without any charge or fee. Do not book it if your expecting 5 star experience or if you are very finicky. This is an excellent resort that works hard to please you.

There are good hotel staff but few terrible staff ruins. Food was just average not that good but not that terrible. Views are amazing (Most reason I booked this hotel). Hotel keys are needs to re-check in for every single day at the info desk. (Which is very uncomfortable).

Valentine's Stay!

Our short stay was superb! Starting with our check- in with Fernanda. She informed us of the hotel amenities and property highlights. All with a beautiful smile and friendly tone. Our room was spectacular. The view was amazing and the beds were quite comfortable. The beaches were a 10! My only regret was not staying longer. Thank you Westin Cancun staff.

Lovely hotel

Our experience at this hotel was magnificent! The staff were courteous and super helpful at all times! They didnt demand tips as in most cancun resorts. We got our room upgraded for free and it was really comfortable, clean and the view was fantastic! Breafast and happy hour were just thrilling! Even though its not an all inclusive resort it so worth every penny for the food and service! Highly recommended!

OK hotel. Nice beach. Bad eating.

Pros: Pool area and beach. Easy access to bus .
Cons: Food. And it needs a refrigerator in the room. I would not come back for that reason alone. I haven't been to a hotel in ages that didn't have one.
Location: Not much to do there, except the pool and beach. But the bus was handy.
The bus line made easy access to shopping, and downtown. That was good, because the eating experience at the Westin Resort and Spa was not good. We ordered room service which was horrible. the Sports bar was way overpriced. Only one restaurant within walking distance. There was not a refrigerator, but some kind of a cooler which didn't make sense. The staff was nice. The beach and pool area was nice.. It was noisy from upstairs, hallway, and next room.

Perfect location at the very end of the hotel zone

Pros: Location, bed, shower and complimentary bottled water.
Cons: Fix every TV so guests can watch in English!
I selected this hotel because 1) location 2) reviews. It's very quiet and away from all the touristy areas since it's at the very bottom of the hotel zone. Beautiful beach and so many options for lounge chairs! Food service at the pool/beach/restaurant was terrible and the food itself was so bland and tasteless.. definitely seems geared to elderly who can't handle flavor. Drinks seemed watered down, even the wine. Beware of what the menu prices are vs. your bill. I was overcharged for drinks and was told the prices had been raised. If the prices change, change the menu! I finally got it fixed, but can't imagine how many others don't notice. Vegan burger is a joke.. grated carrots and other veggies, but disintegrated as soon as I picked it up. Awful. The room was fine, deluxe ocean view. Comfy bed and nice shower. Complimentary bottled water, which was nice. The TV didn't work or was stuck on Spanish only, and when I called to ask about it, I was told it was the fault of the cable company and there was nothing they could do. Come on, Westin. Get your act together! I'd stay here again SOLELY because of the location. My favorite local restaurant is less than a mile up the road, and that's where the foo is amazing and authentic! Save your money and don't eat/drink at the Westin!

Regarding your comments about the TV, please note that as we're in Mexico, we use the local cable TV company, and in Mexico most of the channels are in spanish, nevertheless it also has a selection in english. Hotel staff was very nice. Room was large and clean. Hotel is old and not up to modern standards. Food selection is poor. People are wonderful. Price is very affordable.

Although they were completing renovations it did not affect our stay one bit. The place was gorgeous but my favorite part was the heated pool.
