Nice hotel, fantastic beach, very quiet and clean.

Pros: The beach.
Cons: The cost of food was rediculous. So overpriced that it felt shameful and wasteful to eat there. We mostly ate at restaurants outside the hotel.
Location: This hotel has the most amazing beach. Pristine condition and private. It’s very quiet and possibly too quiet. There is seldom any music playing .
First time in Cancún. It was safe, people were nice. Take a Valium before using public transportation unless you’re comfortable in a race car without a helmet.

Great walkers beach

Pros: Choice of heated pool and cooler lagoon pool; beach goes on for miles.
Cons: Thinking that Westin gives its lesser rooms to Expedia guests. We had a number of repair issues with our room, but those were addressed.
Location: Take bus R2 to Mercado 28 and La Isla for moderate dining options. Also enjoyed dining at Sisal & Destileria.
Beach is great for walking because it goes on for miles. Staff is responsive. Choice of cooler lagoon pool or heated beach pool is a plus.

Pros: Beach, bars, staff
Location: Great restaurant nearby, Navios, walking distance. Otherwise, i didn't leave hotel.
I was expecting renovations but they were for the most part done. Very nice hotel, great staff. Food was quite good except in the expensive restaurant.

Easy access from room to beach.

Pros: We have stayed at this hotel several times because we like the easy access from rooms to the beach. The pool areas are also very nice.
Cons: There was a noise issue in the area of the hotel where we stayed.
Location: There are nice restaurants close by with inexpensive bus transportation.
The hotel provides easy access from the room to the beach. The food at the hotel restaurant is very good. There are plenty of pool options and the beach is very clean.

Great hotel

The Westin Resort and Spa is a great hotel. It’s clean, comfortable rooms, nice bathroom, friendly staff, and a beautiful beach. Being located at the south end of the hotel zone is great if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing beach experience without the craziness of the all inclusives! My only complaints are that I was disappointed there were no hot tubs, and the prices in the restaurants/bars were a lot more expensive than going into downtown Cancun to eat/drink. My friend and I figured out that it is much cheaper to pay 12 Pesos to take the bus downtown and back each way and have a nice sit down dinner than it is to order a casual lunch at the Westin. Other than that it is a very well maintained property with great rooms and staff!

Great place

This place was awesome!!! The staff was also great!! The only down side is that they are at the end of the hotel zone, so we had to get a ride every time we wanted to go shopping. But other then that, everything was great

Nice hotel

Really nice and comfortable hotel ,location is not perfect you will need transportation, beach is awesome, food is ok, but definitely will come back to this hotel.

Disappointed with Service and front desk staff

It was not a great stay that we were looking for in Cancun. The hotel was average with amenities and first day we had Scorpio in bathroom and rather than hotel staff moving our room they just told us they will look into and nothing happened . The main lobby front desk staff was unenthusiastic and not at all Welcoming . You take a red eye flight and then meet a callous staff which was disappointing. I will not recommend this hotel

Nice option in Cancun

Have been coming to this hotel several times over the last few years, mainly due to its great beach and the fact that it never seems too crowded. However, the rooms do need an update (ongoing) to go along with the new lobby area. Did not like the change in the lagoon pool, which used to be very nice and quiet and now seems like a second rate waterpark with the surfing machine.The breakfast buffet is average at best, although the service both at the restaurants and pool area continues to be outstanding. Would still come back.
