The room smelled like someone had smoked in it. When told to the reception the cleaner brought us some air freshener which did not help that much. Generally the hotel as in okay condition although some updating could help a bit. Perfekt om man har moppe. Lätt att köra till stränderna, och inte för långt in till de livliga delarna av ön. Väldigt rena rum, en fin pool och städning fick man om man bad om det. Very cozy hotel! The staff was super friendly and kind. The rooms itself were ok, quite cozy but you could tell that they were quite old. We chose the Toscana for its budget prices, but we were somewhat disappointed when we arrived to see the state of the place. Judging from the photos online it seemed OK, but this was definitely the less attractive hotel we stayed in during our Thailand vacation. The rooms are spacious but in need of refurbishment/upgrade. The cafe/restaurant is pricy. We payed THB 120 for a cup of tea and a coffee, which is what you can get an entire breakfast for one person in town. The pool was not inviting either. It's in a quiet location. The room was spacious & the bed was comfortable. The wifi was good. The staff was very friendly. The pool is amazing, overlooking palms and the nature of Koh Tao. Plenty of privacy.
