1st rm wasnt clean so they moved us to 2nd rm and toilets was dirty and snot on wall by bed. We reserved for 4 peeps n couldnt get extra towels till next day n afternoon. Front desk was great but hotel not clean. We were afraid to even eat breakfast due to cleanliness.

Dirty

What a dirty hotel. Your feet stick to the floor in the lobby and in the elevator. Time for some new linens as the sheets are like sandpaper, pilled up. Towels are better used as rags. Breakfast was terrible and dirty.

Bed bugs

First we had issues with our keys and I had to go back to the front desk twice to get them programmed. Once that messed was finally straightened out and we were in the room we did our bed bug check ritual which is more of a habit but we had never actually found any in a hotel. We did find the bugs on one of the mattresses so we got all of our stuff and went back downstairs. The lady at the front desk was nice and apologized and quickly set us up in another room. Same mess again, key didn’t work. Once we finally got into the room we of course inspected the beds again and didn’t find any live bugs but did see the marks they make. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again.

Nice facility, heating/cooling needs improvement

Pros: Friendly staff, good location for my business meeting, nicely decorated.
Cons: Cooling system needs improvement.
My husband and I stayed overnight on a business trip. Another couple attended the same business meeting in a different room. The hotel was pretty, well appointed and the staff was friendly. Upon arrival to our room, we noticed that it was a bit warm for sleeping. We immediately turned on the air conditioner unit, which came on and began to blow cool air. Within a few minutes, it cycled off without delivering much of a cooling experience. We adjusted the thermostat to its lowest setting, 60 degrees, I believe. The unit continued to cycle on and off, but never brought the room to the desired temperature. Even after the entire night, the lowest temperature was approximately 70 degrees.....certainly not hot, but not the cold temperature we desired for sleep. Upon mentioning it to our travel companions, they stated the same experience in their room.

Sophie’s Choice

LaQuinta in Houma is my go to place when working the area every 9 weeks. Pet friendly with NO PET FEES allows me to have my 2 fur kids making it more like home! The staff are friendly and accommodating. Restaurants and shopping are very convenient. Easy road access. Good walking area and green space for your pets!

We had a nice stay. Our air was not working at first, and we alerted the front desk. She immediately transferred us to another room and our stay was wonderful.
