Getaway to HoumaPosted Apr 26, 2016 on Hotels
Hotel was nice for an overnight stay. We enjoyed to convenience of close by shopping and touring the Military Museum. For an afternoon treat we had wine and oysters in the patio at Christianos, surprisingly wonderful for a small town.

Dark ShadowsPosted Feb 20, 2016 on Hotels
This is a nice newer hotel managed poorly. Night staff was great. Morning staff was horrible. Except for the stale muffins and dismal availability of correct cups (coffee and juice), free breakfast was pretty good. Not enough morning staff to run front desk and breakfast at same time. Lighting in the room is terrible. When you first walk into you're room, it's dark. You search for a light switch by the door and there is none. You reach around blindly for the bathroom light switch and flip two switches. Still no light (fans on though). So you walk timidly down the dark hallway using your phone for a flashlight until you find a lamp and turn it on. Go back to the bathroom and finally find a working light switch next to where the hair blow dryer is plugged in.
