This was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and that's including the $5 a night hostels in South - East Asia I stayed in as a student backpacker. For a start, our room had gaol-like three small square windows near the ceiling, with only one providing any natural light. The room stunk of several stenchy "air freshners," the floor was uneven, the shower was dirty and had sharp tape strapped near the drain which spiked your feet, the shower pressure was at best a dribble and when it did, the water was a rusty colour, the TV was broken, the bathroom light was on a timer, the toilet was not fixed to the ground so it rocked when you sat on it, the air conditioner - which was essential for this sauna of a room - sounded like a jet engine. Wifi was patchy but ok. Continental breakfast was average. We were only there for 2 nights so we could head to an NFL game but we stayed out for as long as we could so we didn't have to head back to our room.
I know you get what you pay for but this was outrageous and depressing. Maybe we were unlucky and just got the worst room?
