In Houston for medical treatment at MD Anderson!

Pros: Not too far from the Medical Center.
Cons: Just about everything!
Super bowl weekend in Houston and I needed a room for a medical appointment. Went through Expedia looking for a vacancy. Had to use their secret location where you don't know the name of the hotel till you book it, because of the super low prices. Haha! Ended up with a 2 star motel/Inn and had to pay twice the normal rate. Room was clean. TV did not have a clear picture. Microwave did not work. There were no towels in the bathroom. Could see light around the door because it did not seal. No coffee pot in room. Cereal for breakfast. I have stayed in new hotels where everything worked and provided a hot breakfast for the money I paid for this! What ever happened to price gouging laws?

Hotel CareFree Inn was below my expectation

Cons: breakfast needs to improve
The hotel is located in a quiet zone close to I-610.

Mis leading phots

The photos online are pretty and unique. When we arrived it looked horrible and extremly old and run down.

You don't always get what you pay for.......

The room is consistent for a $29 a night at best. Its very run down, looks like it was built in the 40s and never kept up, the bath room is very small and the bed engulfs you when you lay down, my back was hurting the next day. The "free" breakfast, consisted of cold cereal with whole milk, no other choice and TANG was subsisted for orange juice, bread and butter, and waffle mix was in the fridge for self service. The had coffee but I had to pour mine out due to the person who made it, made it too strong (guess she wasn't a coffee drinker). The WIFI was unable to reach my room, they have benches outside the room and thats where I sat to get the wifi going. The curtain was off its rod so I had to take one of those hooks out of the middle of it and hook it to the end to get the curtain to close and the door really was had to close, I was afraid there for awhile that it wouldn't. I had my daughter meet me there and I was embarrassed that I picked such a dump for us to stay. The only bright side was the girl behind the desk, she was very pleasant and understanding. The A/C was nice and cold and there were no bed bugs as I feared there would be.

Avoid by all means

Check in is at 3 we waited 35 minutes for someone to come check us in and once she did come shr had a nasty attitude. The room was horribly outdated. The doors seem unsecure and ragedy. The lights actually have a twist timer to control the lights. I would never stay here again.
