Great neighborhood, great value
Second time staying here and it is just what we need- walking distance to all of our heights favorites, plenty of space and such a great price! Will be coming back...

5/5 Excellent

Adorable house and excellent communication with owner
This house was exactly as advertised, so cute and historic but with modern amenities. The block is perfect, very safe. When we had a minor issue (our fault), the property owner was so great about communicating with us to resolve it Highly recommend this property!

Heights Victorian
Great little house. Beds were very comfortable! Has everything you need for a comfortable stay in the Heights. Nice park with playground equipment two short blocks away. Owner was super helpful and responsive. Enjoyed our stay.

1/5 Terrible

Unpleasant
This property is a great property and good location. However, the owner was difficult. We have been using VRBO for many years and have never had such a poor experience with an owner. I arrived in Houston for the imminent birth of my grandchild. I checked in on a Monday evening. The following morning I wanted to shower and discovered there was no hot water. I contacted the owner about it and was told it would be taken care of. I packed my clothes and toiletries and went to my daughter's to shower. The owner never contacted me again during the day. I called him about 4:30 to ask if the problem had been resolved and was told yes. I went back to the property for the night and discovered there was still no hot water and the plumbers had left a dirty mess in the bathroom. I again contacted the owner and expressed my frustration with the situation. He told me to check out the following morning that we would both be happier. He then said I could stay if he had the problem resolved. He complained about the expense he incurred for another issue as well as the hot water issue as if this were my problem. He then told me to check out the following morning and he would only charge me for one night. I packed up all of my things including a lot of groceries, and moved out the following day. I moved to a hotel and gave the groceries/food to my daughter. All of this inconvenience occurred at a time when I could have gotten a phone call any minute that the baby was coming and there was flooding in Houston on top of that. The owner charged me for 2 nights and at no point ever apologized for the problem and inconvenience is caused for me. I don't think I should be charged for any of it but of course it was prepaid for so this is an issue I would have to take up with my bank card. The home is a great property and location but I cannot recommend it.
