Recurring marijuana smell in hallways and elevator

Pros: Desk clerks were very helpful.
Cons: Closer scrutiny of who they allow to book rooms and maybe a security guard for awhile to check halls and the parking lot.
I have never felt this uncomfortable in a place. There were people loitering not only outside but in the hallways. There was the pungent smell of pot in the hall and the elevator. I just did not feel safe,

Very clean room, quiet, convenient location. Breakfast was very nice. Would definitely stay again.

Would not stay here again

It was my first time at the Clarion Inn & Suites. As I walked into the reception area to check in, there were some unsavory, to say the least, male guests loitering around counter. One of whom spurted profanity because he could not smoke in front of the building. The room was okay with enough - adequate lighting, clean, and neat, but still seemed run down. There was no USB outlet, not a big deal. The bathroom was very sub par - visible pipes under the sink, visible rust, smeared paint. etc. The AC turns on loudly whenever it runs. Throughout the night, there were people talking in the hallways and foot steps. I would not stay here again.

Listen, I travel for work, AND hv several years of behind the front desk hoslitality experience, THIS hotel is the only one in recent years where I felt "at home" comfort with the cleanliness of the room to the friendly ppl at the desk. I do not say that lightly, and usually hv a critic eye -after being in the industry and knowing what is important. I wanted to stay an additional night, BUT -- my rate went back up to the regular rack rate for this hotel, and it was out of my budget. ;) I caught the hotels.com special on my first night's stay, and was not surprised it actually is an $80+ per night experience. After a run of sub par places, thank you to the folks at Clarion for doing business like we USED to...when service was important. Will stay again and recommend it.

Um it was ok

Not the friendliest front desk staff, but, for the discounted rate it was not bad. The full.rate would be a rip off. Also, it is not in the best side of town either so don't wander off too far and look over your shoulder with all.the sketchy Urband people.
