Nice hotel, could use some updating.

Posted Sep 26, 2016
Nice hotel with a friendly staff. The room could use a bit of updating and I thought the bed was hard, but the water was hot and the room was large enough. Considering the price, it was well worth it. I would stay again.

No frills

Very small beds, shower that didn't drain, expensive breakfast. The staff was very nice and helpful though.

Cons: It wasn't clear to me how breakfast worked or whether it was included. Admittedly, I did not ask the front desk, so this is my own fault.
I stayed there for 4 nights. Staff was very friendly when I checked in, it was nice and quiet. Had amenities that I needed.

Thank you for your business! We offer breakfast and dinner through The Bistro, with a full menu allowing guests to choose their experience and offerings. We appreciate your kind words about our friendly staff, and hope to host future visits to Houston.

Had its ups and downs

Posted Sep 3, 2016
Pros: The employees were always kind and friendly. Also the hotel/rooms were clean.
Cons: The mattresses are like sleeping on concrete.
This hotel was just "not bad". I have stayed in nicer but for the price it wasn't so disappointing. The pros: The staff was always over the top friendly. Never did I encounter one unpleasant person. They always said Hi and seemed to have a genuine smile on their face. Also the Bistro was pretty good. I ate and drank there on quite a few occasions as I didn't have a car and there weren't many good options within walking distance. Also, there was one instance where I asked to switch rooms and they allowed me to do this with no problems even though it was late in the evening and I believe that housekeeping had gone home. The cons: The reason why I asked to switch rooms was the bath tub wasn't draining properly. They asked me if I just wanted it fixed or I wanted to move. I asked to move after I got back from my daily adventures. I believe it was fixed while I was away though anyways. I never bothered to check. The reason I wanted to move brings me to another con. The mattress. The mattresses are so terribly uncomfortable in the rooms I was in. I guess I was hoping if I moved it might be a different story but it wasn't. Also, after I moved there was a mosquito in the room that bit me several times and I couldn't catch it. I never let the front desk know about this though so I don't know if or how they would've remedied the situation.

Very nice hotel and would definitely stay again!

Our overall stay was awesome from the time we arrived the morning staff was so pleasant and warm to us, we felt right at home. The night staff on Saturday could have been a lot better at customer service, but we didn't let her attitude ruin our trip. It was a first time visiting Houston and the hotel was so close to every placed we went. We're planning on coming back for a visit and would love to stay in this hotel.

Good Eats in the Bar Area

Posted Aug 25, 2016
Pros: Quick in, Quick out, Good food there...
Location: Easy access to 290 and 610 - but like almost everywhere in Houston - this is construction ongoing for the highway infrastructure.
Easy quick check-in. Went to the bar area and was supersized to find a good variety of food - all that I ate was very good and did not want for more.

Great experience!

The staff was extremely helpful and courteous during the entire stay. Upon arrival, the clerk allowed us to check in early. That was especially helpful after a day of traveling with small children. Our room was spacious, clean, and modern. I will definitely choose this hotel when I'm in Houston!

Phone didn't work... neither the coffee maker. When I went to tell the receptionist about it, she treated me poorly and ignore the fact that I needed help... the problem was resolved by security of the hotel, again poorly and indifferently
