I loved the hotel overall. A little older but well kept up. beds were very comfortable. bathrooms were clean but small. Guest services at check in was Awesome. Forgot his name but he is Persian. It was a great check in process. I would have given a 5star but when i called front desk to ask about a microwave, the Persian girl with long hair hung up on me and never bothered to call me back as well as knowing which room is calling the front desk. Other than that the Persian guy deserved a 5 star. As for the breakfast buffet... NOT WORTH THE MONEY PAYING FOR. The looks of it it should have been complimentary, just your regular run of the mill for breakfast. nothing special and certainly not worth the 15.00pp. I put my plate and it was freezing cold and i refused to pay for it. I dont understand why it wasnt complimentary. we werent in LV or NY. We were only in Houston would i stay again? Yes i would

All because of Beyoncé concert!!!! Only reason !!!

The room was dirty, the shower leaked the door didn't lock.the bed curtain was stained on both beds , pillows stinked, ac bearly cooled.

Had a wonderful time at the Crowne Plaza. Many nice restaraunts with mintues, easy driving...would not suggest walking. The 610 and The South Loop are a bit noisey late at night...not bad though.

Everything I needed

Checked in on Friday evening. Walked to Pappadeaux's for dinner. Attended Oklahoma vs. Houston game at NRG on Saturday and returned home Saturday evening. Room was clean and comfortable. A little noisy due to proximity of highway. Doors to closet and access to refrigerator needed repair. Friendly, courteous staff. Would stay here again if in area.

In town for football

This is a great place for a visit. It is an older hotel but they have done a good job of keeping it up. It's an easy walk to the stadium, and has a restaurant and bar inside. Overall we enjoyed this place.

Close to NRG, but that's the only good comment

The registration staff put us in the wrong room. I had reserved a king, but got two double beds. The sink backed up, the door to the dresser was broken and the AC did not work-in 100 degree Houston heat. I went back to registration and was told that all of the king rooms were taken. I complained and the manager "found" one. Once in the new room, that air conditioner didn't work either. We thought it might cool off, so we went to our event. When we returned to our room after midnight, it was still hot as Hades. We called the desk THREE times to have someone fix it. No one ever came. I called Hotels.com the next morning and after some negotiating, received a 50% refund from the hotel and a credit voucher from Hotels.com. Hotels.com was the best thing about this stay. I will never return to Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Extremely outdated.

Pros: Location and that's about it.
Cons: Everything!
As titled, this hotel is right out of 1960. The restaurant manager should be fired! The hotel was probably sold out for a sold out concert next door and there was only one waitress and apparently only one cook. People were leaving as fast as they were seating them! I will never go back.
