Old place in good llocation

Pros: Location.
Cons: Needs update/remodel of the inside.
Location: Galleria downtown shopping is within walking distance, if shopping is your forte. Easy on and off to freeway.
It was a very old and tired place stuck in between two newer high rises, Sheraton and Royal Sonesta. The only good feature of the place is that the location is easy to downtown.

Reasonable accommodation for a short business or tour visit. Location is very convenient and lot of car parking spaces. Walking distance from main Houston attractions.

The hotel need to be updated.

The hotel needs to be updated. They will not let you check in early if so they charge you. The hotel also smell real bad. The lady who check me in is not friendly at all.

The hotel was a last minute option. The hotel could have been in a better condition, especially the first floor. The hotel rooms seemed kind of dated, and the beds were not soft.

Extended Stay needs to quit trying to

Pros: Cleanliness Location
Cons: Breakfast, Internet, Shuttle Service
Location: A large mall within walking distance with plenty of shops and restaurants. Heavy traffic in area though if you do not like to drive.
Okay the hotel was clean, it had plenty of security and is a perfect location for most people. Staff was okay. My gripes are a few though. One, why does Extended Stay make there Internet so slow that they try to make you upgrade it. I should be able to pull my email up in a matter of seconds and it takes 2 minutes to load on a laptop. Out of five Extended Stays in a little over a month they are all like this. I have been to worst and cheaper hotels with better breakfast than here. I know it is called grab and go but with the price I would think they could at least have juice or milk. No Shuttle service at this one. A big let down. Only three stars, I could of gotten just as good of a stay at Motel 6 for less money.

Not as advertised

I stayed here 2 nights ago & upon going down for the free breakfast I found the continental breakfast was actually cold muffins & granola bars. Staff was unfriendly & the hotel is missing flooring in several areas. Not a pleasant experience & certainly not worth the money.

Cons: The best thing Expedia can do is remove this hotel/motel from their system it was disgusting.
I arrived at the Extended stay America hotel at around 11.00am an -although I knew I cold not check in they allowed me to complete the documents and they took a copy of my credit card for "incidental". At 5.20 when I was on my way to the hotel from an appointment, I received a call telling me that they had had some flooding in the hotel and that they had transferred me to another. I went to the other hotel and was greeted with no knowledge of my transfer. I explained. This "hotel" was more of a Motel. because it had the entry doors on the outside. Something I have always avoided. I was also advised that they could only give me a queen bed. To add insult to injury, the room they allocated to me was a Smoking room as all their Non smoking rooms had been taken. I went to the room and was appalled. The room was a small box style room about 12' x 12' with a very small queen. and an adjacent bathroom. There were no amenities in the room. Yes it had a TV but that was all. I called the original hotel that I had reserved and was greeted with "it's not my fault" I was also told that there was no manager available to speak to me and that "Josh" would be in the office tomorrow (Wednesday) after 8.00am and I should call back then. I did call the next day and spoke with Josh who told me the problem of flooding but I told him of the problem I was having. THERE IS MORE BAD NEWS

Very convenient location.

Hotel is in a good location close to your necessities it your shopping, Galleria Mall is a few block away, Pharmacies, Counsulates, Etc. Very convenient.
