Shabby hotel in noisy area of Houston
Posted Jun 11, 2016
The room was small, dismal and plainly furnished. Closet was large but no hangers for clothing and separated from room by a pull curtain. Bath had 4 bath towels, 1 wash cloth, no holder for toilet tissue, no kleenex and had mildew on shower tile. Water for shower was warm not hot and had little pressure.
Although the hotel is called an extended stay with refrigerator, microwave and range top, there were NO dishes, glassware, pots, pans etc. Only 1 fork, 1 spoon, can opener and spatula were in kitchen cabinet.
Staff was slow at check in and check out and did nothing to make customers feel welcome to the facility. One gentleman checking in said he made a reservation for a non-smoking room and the clerk argued with him. The hotel was less than half occupied.
High speed local train passes by hotel every few minutes blowing its whistle.
They charge $100 deposit when checking in and say they will refund it at check out but never come to room to see if anything has been damaged. The computer was "having problems" when I checked out so I don't know if I have been given the refund.
Hope I never have to go back!
