Hotel literally made me sick

The lady at check-in was not welcoming at all. I reserved a smoking room by mistake and I can't stand smoke, so I called ahead days before to change it but they said they were booked. I told her how i was allergic to smoke and she didnt try to offer any assistance at all. She had a "whatever" attitude. It was a miserable experience the entire room smelled like an ashtray. I literally lost my Voice the first day From coughing uncontrollably. Then they for some reason didn't have a shower head in the bathroom. I had to request a shower head that took hours for the maintenance person to come and install. It was a room that had a kitchen and no pots or pans like I've seen in those types of rooms. I had to go and purchase all my cooking utensils. Also I had to kill a couple roaches. Overall experience was horrible!! But the housekeeping Ladies and maintenance guy were nice.

When to Houston during the super bowl so no many choices were available. Anyway, so extended actually have room but the conditions of the room were simply awful. It needs renovation. That said it is in a nice location with restaurants and shopping. Also quote accessible to major hwy

Everything was just terrible. Roaches, spiders and dirty sheets. Staff was unprofessional and it was the worst experience by far I've ever had!

Room was so so, part of the ceiling seemed it was going to fall down it had a big chunk hanging down, bathroom tub had a lot of mold and there was left over food in the refrigerator, no hangers in closet.

Good location.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Change the brand of soap and shampoos.
Location: Access to all kinds of stores.
Access to all commercial places but hotel is hidden in the back from all noise and traffic.

For what ever reason it took 30 minutes to check in . I was so tired and those 30 minutes felt like 3 hours . And there was no contintenal breakfast . Just nature valley bars . Highly unlikely that I would stay at another extended stay
