Nice hotel if you like hot air blowing out of A/C

Pros: The pool was clean.
Cons: Front desk needs to be empowered to satisfy the customer. They kept telling me they had to wait on a manager before anything could be done!
Location: Kemah, NASA and Galveston beach were nice!
Complaints about the A/C, on a daily basis, went to deaf ears apparently. They did not offer to switch our rooms, but did promise to send maintenance up to repair the system. He finally came up on our fourth day and said the A/C was on a remote setting and only came on when there was movement in the room, so at night when you are asleep, it doesn't come on. WTH?? He reset it so it would come on at night. Why is there even this setting on a hotel thermostat and why can't the customer adjust it? They did offer to comp our room for ONE night, but we were miserable for three nights! Their 100% customer satisfaction guarantee is a joke.

Lots of hot air from the AC and Staff!

Pros: Pool was clean and breakfast was decent.
Cons: Employ hotel staff that knows what they are doing and empower them to make the customer happy! Several times I was told I had to wait on a "manager"!
Location: Kemah and NASA Space center was fun! Also, enjoyed the beach in Galveston. Sadly, it was cooler on the sunny beach of Galveston than in our room!
Booked three rooms for a family vacation. One room was not what we requested and they weren't apologetic. Our room looked clean so we were satisfied with the surroundings. Turned in for the night and tried to turn the temp down since it was really warm in the room. Cranked it down to 68 and NOTHING HAPPENED. We waited an hour and called front desk who said someone from maintenance would be up to look at it. NADA! The next morning I went down to complain and was told the maintenance person would be up soon. Went out for the day and came back late that evening. Room is cooler, but not cool enough. Woke up sweating because it was hot in the room. Went down to complain and was told she would send send maintenance up. This was repeated for THREE DAYS! They never offered to change our room, but did suggest they wouldn't charge us for one room night. What? We were miserable for three nights and you aren't going to charge us for one? On the fourth day, the maintenance guy finally showed up and said the unit was set to "remote" and if we weren't moving through the night it wouldn't come on. Really? Why would a hotel use this setting? Couldn't tell me. After escalating my complaint, I was told I would not be charged for all four nights. Then, the real nightmare begins. I leave the hotel and check my bank account. Yep, they deducted payment from my account. When I called the hotel, I was told it would be reimbursed within 10 days. Will not stay there again!

Perfect hotel for South Houston vacation!

Pros: Everyone was so friendly and nice, and they were very accommodating.
Location: Kemah Boardwalk is about 20 minutes away, NASA Space Center is about 15 minutes away, and Galveston's Seawall Blvd is about a half hour away.
Everyone at the hotel was fabulous! They were very friendly and accommodating, the facility was clean and presentable, and the rooms were in great shape. We had a room on the third floor overlooking the pool and the pond. The pool was in good working order and it was clean. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast with choices like fruit, yogurt, waffles, eggs, pastries, oatmeal, and cereal. This is a great location to stay at if you are visiting south Houston attractions such as the Kemah Boardwalk and NASA Space Center. It is right off the highway and convenient to shopping and restaurants. It is not super close to the attractions, so you do not have traffic from them, but not so far away either. Kemah and NASA are no more than a 20 minute drive away. We also drove over to the beach at Galveston one afternoon, and that took about half an hour. Overall, the stay was GREAT!

Our AC was set on 69 and never got cool. Sweat all night. Room was on the tiny side.

We had a short but great stay while in town to visit the Space Center. We loved the grab and go breakfast bags, and especially enjoyed the fruit salad at the breakfast bar!

Will be back for sure next year!!!! Rooms are nice & clean, breakfast was awesome, hotel was near great restaurants & close to Galveston. The only minor issue was the temperature in hallways were always very warm. Not a big issue though.

Marry nice hotel but hallways are not air conditioned and were so hot it would take your breath away when you stepped out into it.
