Hotel was ok, got a good night's sleep. Breakfast was very good! The rooms are a bit outdated. The bathroom sink was kinda clogged...but water eventually drained away. We stayed for a night because of an emergency, but probably wouldn't choose to stay there again.

Going Downhill

Pros: Beds, pillows, comforter
Cons: Housekeeping, pool maintenance
Location: Plenty of restaurants nearby.
I typically stay at this hotel while visiting family in Houston. Unfortunately I have noted that recently the hotel operations have trended downwards. For example, we were hoping to enjoy the pool on Sunday midday. Got the kids in to their swim outfits and lo and behold found the pool to be absolutely filthy. The leaves and pine needles are just fine by me however the plastic and other refuse, combined with a dead bird next to the pool, left us just wanting to leave. When I commented to the front desk staff about the condition I was advised that there was no one available to clean it on Sunday. I suspect that much of the pool use would typically be on the weekend, and the hotel advertises that a pool is available so perhaps having someone skim and pick up dead animals on a weekend morning would be a good idea. Also, parents beware. If you put up a do not disturb sign at the point when housekeeping is doing the rooms in your area, they do not return later to clean. We were out from 8 am till 1pm, put up a DND sign as baby laid down for a nap, got him up and left at 3pm (DND sign removed) and room wasn't cleaned. On second day I called the front desk who aggressively asked if the sign was up - well, yes.... for two hours all day!

One night stay

We stayed one night for business purposes and the room was nice and cool waiting for us. I was impressed with the lady that helped us with breakfast.

Needs deep clean

Carpets were dingy and stained.... Room was not cleaned during stay at all... Towels and other necessary items had to be requested etc....

Nice little hotel

The hotel was alright except that the freeway going into it was under construction. Its alright because its just next door to a barbeque place and very near the freeway. There is no refrigerator and microwave.
