not a good time

Information I got from one staff was not the same as from others. Took 35 minutes to get coffee packets to my room, felt like bed sheets were dirty. Was given a 12 dollar card to use in restaurant as I was checking out, but couldn't use it for breakfast, only on menu but menu wasn't available til lunch. So instead of 12 they gave me coffee. I usually stay at Omni or Double Tree and I will continue to do so.

Fun spot in the city

Great getaway. Close to everything. Cozy, funky cool decor. We go often. Fast friendly check in and out. Great valet. Bar food is delicious.

Worst experience

Arrived and room was nice and clean. Next morning received a bill for the parking fees 1 valet and 2 self park, I was by myself. The front desk took care of it. Next day went out came back to room and all my stuff was missing. Hotel let my someone into my room and they took all my stuff. Where the security? I will never stay here again!

Great amenities bad front desk service

This is a beautiful hotel with amazing amenities However, the front desk made a mess of our hotel stay. It took an hour to check in. We were double charged for a room and not notified. It wasn't until the bank put a hold on our credit card that we realized there had been a mix up. The actual room is lovely, and the bed is super comfortable but taking a shower was challenging because the tub was slightly backed up. I felt I was shower in a tiny puddle. Overall I would recommend this hotel just make sure you have time to dot all your i's and cross all your t's.

Not worth it!

The upscale hotel lobby did not match up to the quality of the room. I walked into the room and immediately wanted a refund. The swanky, upscale vibe the hotel offers did not match the Holiday Inn guest room. Not to mention, we were forced to stand in our own dirty shower water due to the tub/shower being clogged the entire stay. We called maintenance twice to fix it and finally gave up when the maintenance guy's solution was to unscrew the stopper. The hotel offers a lot of amenities including free wifi, computer usage, and shuttle service but this was not enough for me to ever stay here again and bathe like an animal.

Not what I would expect!

I expected Hotel Derek to be up scale and amazing, it was far from that. The hotel rooms itself was not very clean, Derek rooms are very outdated. I called down for extra towels and and the girl on the other end of the phone just hung up. hoyle Derek also has staff that will steal your item in a blink of an eye if u leave them and come right back for them. The only nice thing about Hotel Derek was the lobby and the balcony in the suits. I will never again stay at Hotel Derek especially for the prices of there room. Def not a 4 star. I've stayed at red roof inns that were much nicer.

I can assure you, our team work diligently to give all of our amazing guests a fantastic HTown experience – one that is clean, stylish and extremely enjoyable. If you experienced anything aside from this then we definitely want to hear about it – especially the serious claims that are being made in regards to theft. Please know, we have sophisticated systems in place to monitor locks, elevator access, etc. to ensure our guests safety and privacy are never compromised.
