If you love walking into the lobby of a hotel and being greeted by a dog going to the bathroom all over the lobby floor, then this is your hotel! On the way up to our room we were also fortunately close enough yo the Mexican house party going on a few doors down. Nothing in the area, luckily we were stopping for one night and left early. Staff was not friendly.

Rude and unprofessionalPosted Jul 15, 2015 on Hotels
We were very excited to arrive at this hotel, as we had driven 17 hours that day. The gentleman at the front desk was wearing just a black T-shirt with some sort of logo on it (not the hotel's logo) and, while he was sort of friendly, I would not have known he was hotel staff based on his appearance. One of the other front desk staff walks around in a red sports team T-shirt and smoked in front of the hotel entrance, where she was visible to all guests. We were there for business and needed to iron clothes for a meeting but our ironing board in the room was broken. When we called for a new one, the clerk said "we'll try and get you another one when someone's not busy." They brought another board up 5 hours later, after our meeting was over. We arrived 5 minutes before the continental breakfast was scheduled to close and were told that the waffle iron was already turned off and could not be turned back on. When we were checking out, we asked to split the bill on 2 different credit cards (one for business and one personal card), the front desk attendant, who never actually made eye contact, responded with "I don't know how to do that, sorry." The staff were very rude all around, with the exception of a few friendly housekeepers. We will definitely choose to stay somewhere else should we end up in the Houston area again.
