出張には便利

Posted Sep 2, 2015

Overnight close to Minute Maid Park

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Service was adequate but not memorable.
Location: Minute Maid Park is 5 minute walk. Nothing else nearby to do.
I stayed one night while on a business trip to go the an Astro game at nearby Minute Maid Park. The hotel was very nice and up to date even being an old building. Perhaps the service was good too but nothing memorable. Other than short walk to ball park, there is not much nearby. Good for downtown business better than leisure.

Great stop over

Posted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: Complimentary drinks at the bar
Cons: Don't use blacklane taxis which are offered by Expedia as a transfer. I've paid £172 for a return airport transfer and they didn't turn up for either
Location: Science museum is a short journey on the metro tram system Houston Space centre is 80 mins away on the 249 bus, the stop is a 2 min walk
Excellent location - right next to public transport and eating locations. Rooms excellent, and a good choice of food for the breakfast service. Cannot fault this place, will definitely use again if I'm ever back in Houston

Pros: The hotel was nice and clean in the public areas. rooms were good size and clean.
Cons: Have refrigerator available in the room for storage of medications requiring refrigeration.
Because I booked via AARP travel Expedia I was unable to receive a final check out statement from the Magnolia Hotel . I did not receive a final statement from Expedia. The breakfast were very nice and convenient for individuals who had to be at their meetings at 7:00 AM. The staff were courteous.

Not bad

Posted Aug 9, 2015
The hotel was nice. It was clean and comfortable. The staff members could have had better customer service skills. Not very friendly. They picked up breakfast right at 9 AM. Most places have breakfast till at least 10 AM. I would stay there again.

Juggling too much and inattention to guests

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: The room was large and the mattress comfortable. The valets were nice.
Cons: Clean the place up. Get more elevators, - Properly plan and accomodate your guests.
Location: Astros, downtown events.
We trek to Houston annually to attend Astros games. We have stayed at the Magnolia for several years. At check in the desk staff was outright snarky. Eating breakfast was a tussel. There was no seating available. The toaster didn't toast. The arrangement was poorly planned. We did not even attempt breakfast the second morning. If Holiday Inn can do it better then you need some new management. There were three weddings and a 50th wedding party on Saturday night in addition to the folks staying in the hotel who were attending the Astros game. There were too many bodies in the hotel for the 4 tiny elevators to accomodate the guests. This was made more disasterous when the fire alarmed was pulled at 11 p.m. and the guests were ushered outside. The hotel was dirty. We stayed on the 6th floor and liquid had dried on the granite near the elevators. The carpet needs cleaning - everywhere. The hotel seemed low rent at without an accomodating low price.
