Location: Disappointed in the number shops that had closed.
Worst EverPosted Jun 10, 2013 on Orbitz
Worst experience I have ever had! First, I called the Hotel to see if they had anything available. (Tried to make a Wedding Party Dinner) They said yes, 2 rooms are available. I’m told to book the room on the internet to get a good price. I booked my room and call the hotel back to confirm they received my reservation. The girl at the front said yes and she was on her way to clean the room now. So we drive 1 ½ hours to Kemah to make the dinner on the boardwalk. I arrive just in time to check in and walk to the restaurant. I walk in to the office and gave the front desk my name. (That’s when the entire night became a nightmare) The girl looked at me with a blank look on her face and told me “Yeah that was the new girl who booked you, she does not know what she is doing, and we have nothing for you”. Keep in mind I already booked the room and paid for it online, and called to confirm everything was ok. I was very very very upset. I asked the front office what I could do. I was told they don’t know because her boss has not called her back. So I get on the phone to inform the company. I was on hold for more than an hour, the entire time I kept asking the front office if she could help me find somewhere to stay.. She just sat there and made a call and looked at me and said she sorry it was the new girl. I was so upset that I missed my dinner, I had to drive back home.. DO NOT EVER GO HERE… WORST PLACE EVER!!!!

The good and the badPosted Jul 2, 2009 on Orbitz
It was a great location! We watched the sail boats leaving and entering their docks right from our room. The Kemah boardwalk was right there within a block. The staff was friendly and helpful. The negative side was: One of our party had to stay somewhere else because there was no way to reach the rooms in a wheelchair. I, myself had trouble climbing the several times a day.
Very basic. Bathroom tub had mold. Chest of drawers broken.Posted May 12, 2008 on Orbitz
The room had mold in the bath tub grout and one of the chest of drawers looked as thought some one had kicked it in. Beds were good. Air conditioner worked well, and that is important on the gulf coast of Texas. We stayed at this motel 5 nights. One of those days my husband asked the cleaning crew to return in 1/2 hour. When he left the room, he saw the cleaning staff and told them he was leaving and they could clean. This was at about 12 noon. We came back that afternoon, and the room had not been touched. I complained to the desk, but the cleaning crew had gone home. The desk clerk brought up our towels and etc. The room would not be cleaned until the next day. In fact, it was cleaned very well the next day, but if we had only been staying that one night, that service would not have been available. On the other hand, this motel is within walking distance to the Kemah Boardwalk which is what we wanted.
