Great hotel except the front desk.Posted Nov 16, 2015
Pros: Everything. It is a fine hotel.
Cons: Getting rid of the one guy on the desk.
Location: Well located near the Galleria and in a quiet neighborhood.
After booking the room with Expedia I wanted my wife to be able to check into the room ahead of me since she was arriving at an earlier time. I was told by St Regis I could not add her name since the reservation was made through Expedia so needed to contact them. This I did and they added my wife, sent a copy of the change to me and to the St. Regis. Upon arrival at the hotel the desk manager was hostile to my wife saying she could not check in since this was an Expedia problem. When I contacted him by phone he refused to assist and demanded I come in person to check in. When I got angry and said this was unbecoming a hotel of the St. Regis quality he hung up on me. Its a shame such a person works for the hotel because the remainder of the staff were exceptional as is the hotel. It is apparent this fellow doesn't understand customer service.

St Regis Houston is a guaranteePosted Oct 20, 2015
There are reasons why some brands are in the top mind of every person, it´s not something that just happens overnight, they have to work for a long time to be in the top of mind of a person preferences. Thats exactly what happens with me and the St Regis hotels, when I decided to go to Houston and search in Expedia for luxury hotels in Houston and the St Regis was there it was an easy decision for me, and I was right, service, food, room and all was at St Regis standards I will recommend this hotel to anyone that appreciates what good service is. The hotel is only a few blocks from everything you want, shopping, restaurants and everything Houston has to offer. I will return and recommend this hotel to anyone anytime.

Pros: Service is excellent
Location: Well located for shopping- best in Houston
Bathroom left hand facet was extremely hard to turn on. Hallway was very noisy. Good band Saturday night

Neighborhood ComfortPosted Sep 9, 2015
Pros: Familiar with brand.
Cons: A quiet bar to sit and relax.
Location: No loss of things to do, places to shop or restaurants to dine.
Great hotel experience. Bar not what I had expected. Much older pick-up scene. Just wanted a quiet drink to relax.

Wonderful experience, but you'll pay for it.Posted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
We loved our stay here. All the staff we interacted with were great and very attentive. It did take longer than expected to have the valet bring some bags up, but not enough to deduct any points. It's pricey (obviously, as a 5-star hotel) but I'd say it was money well spent.

beautiful hotel close to the galleriaPosted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: the hotel itself is gorgeous, obviously didn't spare any expenses.
Cons: if they are going to advertise to have a "party experience poolside", they need to step it up out there, because we left after an hour of boredom..
Location: nestled in the business district just East of the Galleria, easy access to shopping, etc..
gorgeous hotel, excellent staff. we met friends for a weekend getaway. we chose the hotel because it advertises to have one of the best pool experiences. the pool was nice, but small, no music, no bar, etc.. we ordered some soft drinks ($6 each for 10oz cans). We spoke with some other couples who said they chose the hotel due to the rating of entertainment, but were also disappointed. Valet only parking, which is to be expected, but $67 to park 2 cars for one night was a little steep. I think if you were going to stay here to shop in the galleria only, it would be great, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a staycation type venue.
