The Staff Makes the Experience!

First impressions are key and this hotel delivered.The lobby is spacious and inviting, the wrapped staircase a nice feature, and immaculately clean. I would be remiss if I didn’t speak about the Sotherly Host Jorge, who was the first to greet us and our main point of contact throughout our stay. Politeness would be a modest term to detail how Jorge treated us. There was no question we couldn’t ask him, and no concern we couldn’t bring up.
The room was wonderful; more spacious than I expected. Soft beds, heavy linens, plush pillows, good coffee, a nice standup shower and garden tub. Anything that wasn’t in the room, I felt like I could’ve ordered.
Devon was awesome as well. We’d met him the the first night on room service and as a waiter the second night. He is such a nice guy; attentive, laidback, and fun. Somebody you can definitely chat with and who will go out of his way to get you what you want. Cheery, and overall the kind of person you want to place your experience with when you’re on a relaxing vacation.
Connor, the other crown jewel of The Whitehall, was our bartender. Drinks, conversation, and kindness to boot, this guy is the best. He makes an amazing martini but you’ve got to try the watermelon margarita. I made sure to visit Connor every day for the duration of my stay. He’s an artisan behind the bar and a genuinely great guy to chat the evening away with.
