Room was well kept. The view over the ocean and port was beautiful. It is about a 20 min walk to get into the main part of town. The walk is lovely right along the waterfront.

Great spot how did how to start your truck to the
I was very impressed with a hotel Dairy Queen I said believe it's a pretty new hotel the location was awesome everything about it was exceptional the breakfast was unbelievable is very close to the night market you can walk there and back right across the street from the Harbor watching Freighters come in and out very much recommend this hotel

This is a small hotel and has a very cozy feel to it. The entire hotel is generally very clean and the staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to assist you. I booked a room for 3 persons and was given a corner room with one queen and two single beds. The room was very spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel's location is not along the main shopping area, however, it is near the coast. You can still get around easily by taxi, which is not expensive, and the hotel staff will always be glad to call a cab for you when you need it. The breakfast that was provided was simple and the dining area was a bit small. If you arrive late for breakfast, you may need to wait for other guests to finish eating. If you are expecting a fantastic continental style buffet breakfast with lots of variety then you will be disappointed. But if you just want a simple Taiwanese breakfast then it is sufficient. Overall, a nice and clean hotel that I would definitely go back to.

We booked this hotel for a night after spending the day in Taroko Gorge. Convenient location for stopping through, but about a 20 minute walk from the main area. Service was great, the room was clean, and the owners were very kind. Would definitely recommend!

Good choice in Hualien
Nice hotel in a lovely location. Great views, and close to many oceanside parks. An easy location to explore the area from. Room was nice and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast had a decent variety. Would absolutely stay there again.

When I messaged the hotel about arrival time and afternoon tea— no response When I called to ask about afternoon tea— no answer and when I arrived they told me I missed it The room said it was “Sea view room”—- no view of sea..2nd floor is entirely blocked by trees There was supposed to be Bikes available—-no bikes The mattress had broken springs making for a very uncomfortable nights sleep.

Overall, the hotel was fine. There was a laundry facility near the hotel but the receptionist wasn't aware. If the breakfast time could start earlier it might be better.

Great Hotel in Hualien.
We stayed at the Hotel Ocean for two nights and had a marvellous experience. The room was excellent but it was the staff that made our stay a great one. They were always very willing to assist with any enquiries we had and were always professionally and smartly dressed. The included breakfast was a bonus and was plentiful. We would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone contemplating a visit at Hualien.

The hotel provides free bike. There is a beautiful bike path in front of the hotel that can take you to several scenic locations.

Great stay in Hualien
The hotel has a great location - right by the ocean and just a short stroll away for the Dadongmen Night Market. The rooms are very comfortable and well maintained. Staff is extremely helpful and speaks good English. They have bikes for rent and you should take advantage of this - in thirty to forty minutes you can get to the bucolic Qixingtan beach. The breakfast buffet has limited options, but there is a great salad bar with fresh, high-quality veggies, and they also cook eggs to order. All in all, highly recommended.

Excellent customer service! We were treated like VIPs our entire stay, and they even let us check in early. My only complaint would be that the wifi connection was not very strong in our room.

Had to ask for my room to be changed twice
I was booked into the wrong type of room, apparently because of Expedia not providing relevant information. Then the next room turned out to be had a big fluffy damp patch on the wall. After some "google translate" exchanges (stuff doesn't speak English beyond basics" our room was changed for the second time and this time it was OK (beside broken shower head that was fixed on the second day of our stay). Also breakfast are very basic, no milk for coffee (only soy milk).

Affordable day trips could be purchased from the hotel tour desk. Delicious and very affordable food can be found in numerous eating outlets about 5-10 minutes away from the hotel. Enjoy the view of the pleasant residential area whilst walking to the eating outlets.

This is a very nice hotel. Very Comfortable.
The hotel staff really make this hotel as well as the location near the ocean and downtown area. We were greeted by the hotel manager, George, who informed us of all amenities, helped us to our rooms and made us feel welcome. We booked an 8 hour tour with him of the Toroko Gorge and surrounding area for our party of 5 adults which was amazing! Additionally he recommended restaurants and places in the night market etc. All in all our visit was fantastic! The rooms were very nice, the staff very friendly and helpful and the location was excellent. Highly recommended.

Great hotel for foreign tourists!
I stayed here for two nights in January 2013, principally to explore the Taroko gorge. The staff are very helpful, most speak some English and some are fluent so I had no trouble communicating. They offer a free shuttle service to meet you from airport or station, and take you back. This needs to be booked in advance. They are also very helpful in helping you to plan an itinerary. The hotel is situated close to the docks, and within easy walking distance of a sandy beach and the market area. Free wifi is good but didn't cover the dining room. Breakfast is traditionally Chinese, though DIY toast is available! Rooms are well fitted out and quite modern and clean. As with any hotel in this price range, there is some noise from the corridor or neighbouring rooms, but nothing excessive. All in all, a fantastic value for money hotel that will be pleased to offer you hospitality.
