The service over all is excellent. However, the hotel itself is may set you back 50 years. It is definety not international standard, as it is stated as part of the name of this hotel. The so call "Family Pool," is actually a dried up hot tub.

It's a nice hotel, with the aspects of its surrounding environment, hotel condition & services (laundry), breakfast, staffs, nearby foods, and easy walk to ocean side & north harbor with beautiful scene and no crowds. If there is another chance to visit Hualien, I will again live in this place. The only caution is the pickup/drop service to train station which seems not a standard service provided and you have to request when you book as well as make sure a day before your arrival in order to avoid confusion that we faced shortly but resolved eventually.

Our stay was fine. The location was not really convenient since it’s a little bit far from city center. When we first entered the room, it has bad smell so we asked for change another room immediately. The staffs were friendly and efficient, they gave us a better condition room. However, overall still recommend it.

We stayed 3 nights in December. The hotel is very quiet, near to the seaside.There was welcome drink which you could get in the lobby. Good varieties for breakfast. The hotel also provide pick up and transfer from/to the train station as long as you book in advance. You will need to have your transport to go around and to the city center. The cost is about NTD 130-150 to city area / Dongdamen night market. Please bring insect repellent as the black tiny mosquitos were in the room leaving itchy bite marks around our bodies.. If you forget, the hotel also lent us their electric mosquito repellent. Overall 4 star experience.

Nice hotel but it’s not very close to the town. Also, not easy to get a cab (but the hotel staff will help!)

Overall clean hotel but much smaller than expected. Unimpressed with the breakfast buffet and the open sky garden. We had a minor issue with our room keys getting deactivated after the first night and we were given a previously opened bottle of water as our complimentary drink. Staff were friendly for the most part but when we requested for a shuttle to the train station we were told we needed to book that service 3 days in advance. Would try a different hotel next time.

Great hotel in Hualien
Friendly staffs, clean rooms and comfortable beds. The hotel provided free bicycle rental and we rented them in the morning to cycle towards the coast.

We enjoyed our stay very much, the double beds are big enough for 2 pax sharing. However, the hotel slippers are too thin and slippery. I fell down in the toilet unfortunately. Overall, we are very pleased.

good hotel at budget price
With many hotels to choose from, I am glad i chose this one. It is within walking distance to the port (not the beach). You can borrow bicycles from the hotel and ride down the bike path to the Pacific Ocean Park. The room is modern and clean, but a bit on the smaller side for 2 adults and 2 kids. We got the top floor and have a ocean view (though obstructed).

The hotel is 10 mins cab ride away from the city center, therefore quite clean and comfortable. linens are clean but the room smells of cigarette smoke though. They have a good spread of breakfast buffet. Overall a good stay.

Round Island overnight at Hualien
We traveled as a family of 2 adults with 3 children. We stopped by after the sight seeing at Taroko Gorge. We arrived close to 6pm. The night market is about 10 to 15 minutes drive. As we are all tired, we had dinner at a small eatery nearby. It is a quite area with nothing much at night. The hotel provides some light snacks for supper as well as reasonable Taiwanese fare for breakfast. Value for money.

Exemplary service, strongly recommended!
Upon arrival, I was told that 2 of the 3 rooms I booked didn't include breakfast. I was frazzled, and frantically scrolled through confirmation emails for any mention of breakfast. The lady at the front desk (Megan) said she would provide us the missing breakfast vouchers for free, as the most important thing was that we all enjoy our family holiday together. It was such a relief to hear that. She was also instrumental in recommending a great restaurant for dinner, even asking us how dinner was after, and so on. Her service standard is exemplary, as were her fellow colleagues. My folks enjoyed chatting with the restaurant service staff, and we all agreed that the service is one of the best that we've all experienced. The hotel provided a surprise supper snack for all guests from 9pm-10.30pm, the beds were comfy, aircon could be adjusted (not a central aircon), had hot water in the shower, enough space for my sister and I to lay out both our luggages comfortably in a twin room, and a water dispenser on each floor, in addition to free bottled water. There was also a rooftop garden, spa and karaoke room. For the price we paid a night, it's a steal! The only drawbacks are: - the rooms did not have a safe deposit box, and - It's a 7-10min drive from the city. This was a plus point for us, as we enjoyed the serenity. I would strongly recommend a stay at this hotel if you're in the area.

Service was great. This was the last leg of our trip, and we had lots of luggage. The porter was efficient in helping out with the luggage immediately when we arrived at the door, check in was really smooth, there was even supper service for the 2 nights we stayed. Quad Room was spacious and beds were really comfortable. Not far from the key sights in hualien. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended to stay in this hotel
The hotel is great especially for traveler who drive. Room was big and clean. Equip with Gym and self laundry facility. Reception and restaurant service was great. Breakfast was fantastic serving wide variety of choices. Hotel even offer very sumptuous super from 9pm onward. We loved the breakfast and super. 7-eleven store and petrol kiosk was nearby. Short driving will bring you to night market and city shopping malls. My family enjoy the hotel stay thoroughly. Strongly recommended.
