Perfect location

Posted Mar 1, 2017
Pros: Location, the pool area and the convenience.
Cons: $50.00 bucks a night,Canadian, you can't complain.
Location: Tons of great restaurants and coffee shops.
A couple of nights in downtown Huatulco. Lots to do and see, and a really nice 15 min walk to the Marina and beach. I love this Hotel, its simple and clean and right on the square.

Mexican style hotel

Posted Feb 11, 2017
Pros: Convenient to restaurants and the town square.
Cons: A comfortable chair could be added to the room.
Location: Next door to church, restaurants and shops.
Mexican style hotel in centre of town. Very convenient to great restaurants, the Mercado, and lots of shops. Staff does not speak English but we still managed to communicate. Rooms were clean and bed was comfy. No in-room safe as advertised and pool is only waist deep. We did enjoy our stay nonetheless.

Old hotel, they do what they can

Posted Oct 6, 2016
Pros: LOcation. Bar downstairs. Spacious room. AC worked fantastically well.
Cons: Bathroom, bathroom fixtures, floors, swimming pool, bed, shower.
Location: Plenty of reaturants nearby. Bar La Crema accross the street. Terracota, great restaurant, at the corner.
My room was spacious. Looks like the building has seen better days. The staff is not the most helpful. The hotel needs work. The maid told they were just about to start renovating. A few things were not working but they really did their best to fix them. The cafe on the street was too hot but also very nice with great service. Excellent location right on the plaza.

Ok, not great, not terrible

Posted Nov 26, 2015
If you're looking for a centrally located, affordable place to stay, this is your spot. If you're looking for a hotel with comfort, keep looking. Our first night, we stayed on the first floor and the AC was slow, but manageable via our own thermostat. Given the heat outside, this was important. The bed was super comfortable, though the pillows were not. The second night we stayed on the second floor. NO BUENO. again, if you're looking for a place to store your stuff for the night that's centrally located and close enough to the bus terminal and tourist experiences, it's a great spot. If you're looking for a great nights rest, look further. The pluses: right in the Zocalo; hotel front desk staff friendly; tourist experiences accessible; a quick ride to the bus terminal ($25 pesos). Cons: A/C not well functioning, and super slow on floor 2 (200s), beds on second floor not comfortable (unlike on first floor), no elevator, inconsistent WiFi.

Mile and a half from the beach, so be prepared.

Posted May 29, 2014
Pros: Wifi, ac, tv, big,
Cons: cleanliness a little bit,
Location: far from the beach, smack dab on downtown though
Further from the beach than you would expect, but not to bad (expect a 30 min walk). Free wifi, showers are big and comfortable. AC is definitely nice after a day on the beach, and all the mexican soaps you want on tv after! Staff don't speak english, but were as nice as can be. Right on the downtown for la Crucacita. Definitely worth it, specially compared to all the other places we stayed in the Oaxacan state.

One night in La Crucecita.

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Great location at the corner of the plaza. The pool was a nice addition to the amenities. Helpful at reception.
Cons: There was a large crack across the in our room. A little more attention to detail would have taken car of this.
Stayed one night after a week on the beach at Zipolite. Friendly reception in an airy courtyard. The building has the feeling that it's been there years, although La Crucecita was only completed in the 80's. Nice to relax at the pool on a hot afternoon.

Pros: We enjoyed the breakfast and nice lady working at it.
Cons: The rooms are not luxurious, but we did not expect them to be.
Reasonable hotel in town with swimming pool.
