Clean historic hotel

We stayed on the second floor facing the river. Positives : Large, clean, comfortable rooms. Nice view from the balcony. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were extremely helpful. Negatives : Although we had a non smoking room, smoking was permitted everywhere else in the hotel. Bathrooms are nearing the point of needing to be renovated. Additional meals and drinks were very expensive. All in all, a pretty good hotel with lots of interesting history associated with it. I just wish they would disallow smoking inside.

Great view, wonderful staff, great location

Pros: Location, view, friendly staff
Cons: internet could have been faster- but it was free and did work.
Location: walk across the bridge to the citadel.
we stayed one week for a combination trip of work and touring. the room was large comfortable and clean-- the history of the hotel is interested, and it was walkable to the citadel and night market. the staff were amazing, friendly and accommodating. I had an unexpected free day and the hotel was able to book a private tour for us at 2130 for a 7:00 departure the very next day to the DMZ. It cost just a little bit more than a bus tour but the comfort and personal service was worth it.

Pros: The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The whole 1920's ambience makes it classic and attractive. Great location close to the citadel and the market. Early check in was very appreciated.
Cons: Hotel restaurant and bar was outrageosuly expensive, but there is plenty of cheap restaurants within a few blocks.
Location: Overlooking the river. Walking distance to the old citadel, market and main street.

A walk back in time

Pros: The opulence of the rooms, location in the city, engagement and friendliness of the staff are just the starting point.
Location: Great location near the river and close to many restaurants and bars. A little walk to the old city but still a good place to stay.
This hotel is like walking back in time to the grandeur and luxury of hotels that you would imagine in the 1920s. We stayed tow nights here on our trip and it was one of the best experiences we had. A great breakfast buffet of local and western cuisine. Nice pool complex and beautiful rooms - not unlike Raffles in Singapore.

Nice hotel we enjoyed our stay. Bed is very hard. The room is massive which is nice to be able to spread out (would be great for families). Our air con was dripping but as soon as we told the staff they were great and got some one to come and fix it up. Staff were friendly.

Our stay was wonderful. The staff was helpful and attentive which made our anniversary memorable. The hotel is a great location to most everything and has beautiful old world architecture. The only negative thing was the drain in the shower had a bad smell sometimes. The only negative thing was the drain in the shower had a bad smell sometimes. Everything else was perfect and we would recommend it.
