Stylish hotel in a good position

Posted Mar 27, 2017
Pros: The polished wood decor and the mosaics. Simple, clean design.
Cons: Breakfasts were expensive compared to the good room rate.
Location: Excellent. Close to main art museums.
Close to Prado. Beautiful room with original antique mosaics

Great location. Very attentive, polite, bilingual staff. Great experience all around. Only beef was the breakfast. A couple eggs and toast ran over 25 euro. Kind of a rip.

Great hotel and staff

Our stay at the hotel was great! The staff was incredible, answering any questions we had about the city and going above and beyond helping find Real Madrid tickets.

The best location. Not noisy, clean area.

Other main hotels are located in crowded areas. Not recommended. Room walls are thin though. Hotel is not modern. Definitely not new but good and confortable overall. Use the 20% discount on the excellent restaurant.

Good hotel

Great hotel with good service. Shame about two single beds being put together as a double but otherwise nice quiet hotel.

Excellent Hotel close to the museums: Pardo, Thyssen, Queen SOFIA... Also walking distance to madrid's downtown, the Royal Palace and trendy Salamanca district with most of the nice restaurants

Villa Real Hotel Madrid

Very nice exclusive hotel in unbeatable location next to museums, shoppings and great dining. However, heating is set too high in the rooms and there's no air conditioning during winter time.

Great central location, but loud construction.

Posted Feb 19, 2017
Pros: Great location;cleanliness.
Cons: Warn guests about all the construction in advance.
Location: 5 minutes to Prado and Thyssen museums. 10-15 Plaza Major and the Palace. Lots of restaurants and shops all around. Easy to walk to all top places.
Hotel was nice and clean--but really a 4 star, not 5. There was construction all around it in Feb 2017, Rooms were clean. But air con didn't work. Hotel was way too hot. Couldn't open windows because of all the construction going on. We liked it, but didn't love it.
