A good hotel and near to city centre

Posted Dec 15, 2017
Pros: Near city centre
Cons: The entrance to the car park is not clear a sign or put in the street name or post code for the street .
Location: Plenty of bars and restaurants in easy reach as is the main shopping mall
The staff at the hotel were very helpfull . We did have a problem locating the entrance to the hotel car park it could do with a sign showing the entrance from the main road into the car park.

Staff friendly

Posted Nov 24, 2017
Staff nice, bed comfy and clean but room needs decorating and carpet cleaned/changed. Very basic. Table lamp but no bulb. Room very cold. Noisey from traffic but near main road so to be expected.

Overnight stay in Hull for work. Hotel is very conveniently located for the city centre. Plenty of free parking available, had no problems finding a space. The motel-style hotel is not the best looking place in the world, but was perfectly sufficient for a one night stay. The room is very typical Campanile, bland decor, low frills, but relatively clean and comfortable. As with most Campanile hotels, there is just one plug socket available in the room, which the TV is normally plugged into. If you want to watch TV, and charge your phone/laptop, forget it. All in all, it was ok, but if you want even a hint of luxury, go elsewhere.

The hotel is clean but very shabby. It needs a co

Posted Oct 15, 2017
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Lights could be replaced when they are not working; TV could be checked for tuning.
Location: Location is very convenient for the centre of Hull. As UK City if Culture this year, there is so much to do and see.
The hotel is adequate but very basic so is expensive for what it offers. Several lights in the bedrooms were not working; the TV did not work; milk for the coffee and tea was bad although staff were happy to give us fresh milk. The position of the hotel is very convenient for the centre of Hull. Everything is in walking distance

Hull city of noisey ambulances

Posted Oct 8, 2017 on Hotels
Came for the culture, which very good, despite obvious money spent appears run down with shopping streets third closed, to many shopping centres. We were situated facing main road, far to noisey appears to be main road from of to hospital. Staff really nice, room clean and tidy.

Posted Oct 3, 2017
Pros: the staff and location
Cons: have proper cups install / unblock room sockets to allow occupant use make the rooms cleaner paint the window frames, and balcony rails
Location: ok for city centre access, ok to walk into city centre
good points staff cheery good location bad points no telephone charging points in room paper cups for tea and coffee rooms looked shaddy floors appeared to have been poorly cleaned overall poor value for money paid less and got more in other leading hotel chains

Perfect for Hull Visit

Posted Sep 26, 2017
Pros: Dog friendly. Helpful and friendly staff. Central position.
Cons: General updating of rooms.
Location: This year Hull is the City of Culture and there are many exciting things happening all over the city. There is a good central shopping centre .
This hotel is very central to the city and has easy access to all areas. I was on a three day break with my dog. It was a perfect hotel to take a dog, with instant access from the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves a good selection of food for breakfast and evening meals. My only concern was that is looking rather tired - clean but in need of a bit of refurbishment. I would definitely use the Campanile again. I have used this group on many occasions in France.
