Nice hotel near city centre

Friendly staff, good facilities- including a good pool and gym. Really near the docks with a range of eating places and the shopping centre. Free parking

Very central with friendly and helpful staff

I found reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant staff were very good also and the breakfast was excellent. I requested something to eat which was not on the menu but they were able to provide this promptly and efficiently

Poor Family Facilities

Posted Jul 17, 2017 on Hotels
Family room not good. Saggy old camp bed as third room. Impossible for child to get a good nights sleep. DO NOT book a family room. Also be very careful with payment as tried to charge me again on pre-paid room.

Over Priced!

Posted Jul 13, 2017 on Hotels
Over-priced for the room facilities. Pool out of action. Parking not included. Great view and staff fab. Would not stay again lots of smaller hotels and The Royal to choose from at way better rates. Overall not too impressed

Enjoyable 1st jaunt to Hull

Posted Jul 3, 2017 on Hotels
Powered wheelchair user but stayed in standard room, thoughtful staff placed me on 1st floor. Room spacious to move around in my wheelchair. Easy to manoeuvre next to the bed. Cautious about the bathroom door width if you're in a bigger wheelchair. Adequate disabled parking spaces in a big car park. There are two entrances both with automatic doors. Marina pleasant and accessible. Good telly, useful desk and chairs and table. Lucky enough to have a marina view. Good room service, got sent the wrong sauce but thank you to the friendly staff member who discarded the service charge. Rooms would be made perfect if fridges were added. Long review but well deserved for this hotel! Would stay again. Highly recommend 'The Deep' aquarium :)

Nice hotel with lovely staff and a great location

Posted Jun 26, 2017 on Hotels
Absolutely loved our time in Hull and the Holiday Inn was in a great location near the Marina and 10 minutes from the city centre in one direction and the Fruit Market in the other. Staff were really lovely - so friendly and helpful.

Excellent Hotel by the marina and close to city

Posted May 25, 2017
Pros: As above.
Cons: Parking is free on Friday & Saturday nights. However, chargeable at £7 on other nights. We would have booked elsewhere had we had to pay.
Location: Attractions of city centre and marina - all good. Museum area of old town. Yorkshire Wolds and Humber Bridge are close by and well worth a visit.
Stopped over for one night on B&B basis. Standard room was spacious and immaculately clean. Wifi signal was strong. Breakfast was excellent in a bright, airy room with a window wall looking out onto the adjacent marina. A good selection of hot and cold food items, well presented and stocked-up. Service at Reception and at breakfast was professional, efficient and welcoming. Location was a big plus, being at the marina, but really only a short stroll to the city centre and old town attractions. Marina area is being rejuvenated and I can see this becoming a main attraction for the city in the near future.

V pleasant hotel in good location

Posted May 6, 2017
Cons: Did think the pool area could do with a refurb to make more aesthetically pleasing.
Lovely short break in City of Culture! Hotel location good for all that and very comfortable to return to at end of day and restaurant very good.

Nice hotel overlooking the Marina in city centre

Posted May 5, 2017
Pros: The overall atmosphere and the helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: Right on the waters edge, in the busy part of town yet still peaceful. Only a very short walk to the main tourist attractions and city centre.
The booking in process, car parking and breakfast arrangements were all easily sorted. The room had a good view and made sightseeing easy. Breakfast was fine and the booking out went smoothly. No complaints at all.
