Great little guesthouse in the hunter valley area

Posted Dec 2, 2015
Last minute booking to hunter valley on journey home from Sydney . Hadn't been for years , not sure where to stay , found peppers guesthouse to be close by to quite a few of the wineries we fancied going to and also a short walk to harrigans Irish pub in the evening ( when you ve drank enough wine and just fancy a cold beer ! ) Beautiful guesthouse , couldn't fault anything , fantastic nights sleep , spot on breakfast and even kangaroos on the grounds in the evenings !

A wonderful stay

Posted Nov 3, 2015 on Hotels
We had a two night getaway at the Pepper's Guesthouse and all I can say is that it was lovely. The property is quiet and pretty, the guesthouse is quaint and picturesque. We went to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary, the guesthouse didn't know this when I booked the room however I did mention it at the desk as I became nostalgic when I saw a bride getting ready there. Anyhow, by the time my husband and I walked to our room, surprise bubbly was already delivered. It was a wonderful. The room was pretty and comfortable and had a lovely vintage feel to it. As we walked around the property we saw chickens in their pen and wild rabbits and drakes and over on the neighbouring property there were kangaroos. Beautiful.

Lovely hotel in quiet location

Posted Nov 2, 2015 on Wotif
Pros: Location
Cons: Pillows towels and location of wall mirror
Location: Constable art gallery and gardens is worth a visit .definately Muse Kitchen or Muse Restaurant is a must .
We spent one night here hotel is situated in a serene setting lots of trees around with kangaroos grazing on the slopes. Bathroom amenities could do with an upgrade but a very comfortable bed.

Don't look for staff, there aren't any!

The Hotel was adequate but in need of a spruce up. When we arrived there was no parking due to a wedding booking. We were told to park in a paddock. There was no assistance with baggage. On Saturday night no bartender was available and the wedding planner made our drinks. She couldn't find the ingredients and the manager now waitress for the dining room was disinterested in helping. Staff were non existent. Breakfast was however well provided for and could be recommended.

Comfortable, but a little dated

Posted Oct 6, 2015 on Wotif
Pros: On site bar and restaurant, friendly staff and great location.
Cons: Insulation between walls
Location: Right in the centre of Pokolbin and easy access to neighbouring wineries and restaurants.
Staff are lovely and helpful the ground a pretty too, however the rooms and facilities are a little dated. The rooms are comfortable but the walls are paper thin - we could hear the guests in our adjoining room.
