Close to amenities

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything, heating, carpets and curtains very old and smelly patio door difficult to open needs updating
Staff was extremely nice, room smelled very musty, and freezing in room no control of heat staff brought a small portable heater but other guests were also complaining of the room being freezing

Good for one night stay

Ther staff was pleasant and the room was clean and spacious. It is located just off the hwy, away from the downtown area. There is no elevator so if your room is on the third floor, you better be fit. The continental breakfast was a joke. Some brused apples, a jar of peanut butter, grape jelly and a coffee machine that has seen better days. It was fine for one night as we were jist passing through bit I would not recomend it for anyone staying for more than one night

Stay away

Front desk staff absent every time we went to the lobby. Didn't inform us of the free wifi code and didn't inform us of our complimentary breaks fast location and time. The hotel looked barren and had many renovations going on. The rooms toilet was broken but couldn't inform the absent staff

filthy, bed bug infested slum

I cancelled it when I found bed bugs in my room and then in the rooms of most of my grandson's hockey team. The staff is ignorant, rude and a liar. I will definately be advising everyone I know NOT to stay here. She would not give me a refund and said hotels.com would only refund a portion of my money so she could do me a favor and transfer me to the econolodge and I wouldnt lose any money. This was a lie. Hotels.com refunded every cent even though she is refusing to refund the first night. Super 8 are crooks however hotels.com definitely made good on my refund..Kudos to hotels.com

I personally wanted to let you know that we take all comments - positive, negative very seriously and we already looked after the experience you wrote about. After investigation by you and myself for your room and all rooms for same group also there was no evidence for bed bugs in any of the rooms.Even after no evidence for having bed bug in room we had referred you another hotel close to us. we cannot refund for first night because we had relocate you to another hotel and you did not stayed there either. First room had a noisy heater and no tv service. Front desk changed our room but we had to wait 45 min for the room to be cleaned before we could get into it even though it was late afternoon. Second room had a plastic underpad on the bed that was extremely uncomfortable. Also, the door was tricky to close. The hotel was convenient to the highway but it really needs a good cleaning and renovation. The room was very dirty and the stairways had a sour smell.

Needs work!

As we entered there was a strong pungent odor. The front desk clerk was very pleasant and welcoming, she was just helping out that evening and is not a permanente employee. We carried our bags up the two flights of stairs through hallways in need of paint. As we entered our room, the fire bell went off in the hallway. Given the all clear, we entered our good size room and immediately realized that there was no closet or hanging rack in our room to hang out winter coats. Entering our bathroom, we could smell cigarette smoke coming from the room below. We were informed that it was a non-smoking facility. The evening clerk investigated the situation and within a short time we were smoke free. The towels and face clothes were stained and in dire need of being replaced. The bed was quite comfortable. In the morning we realized that the hair dryer was broken. The morning clerk offered us the adjoining room with a functioning hair dryer for our troubles. Our complimentary breakfast was sparse and nothing to write home about. All in all, you get what you pay for. I would certainly not pay the listed price for the hotel.

Fire alarm went off 3 times in the night. No wifi in my room. Plaster on wallls that needed painting. And it looked like it was in the middle of being worked on.
