Windermere House is a real hidden gem Amazing view and wonderful staff. The food was delicious. The entire property is so nostalgic. Takes you back in time but with modern amenities I hope they never lose the old time charm

No running water at time of check in. No parking as too large groups in restaurant. Asked for a refund told they would “try their best” as booked thru Expedia. Contacted Expedia and they said hotel has to reply to their request for refund and I would hear back in 2 hours … it’s now been 3 1/2 and no contact. When leaving asked for a restaurant recommendation and they suggest a restaurant 20 minutes away … get there and it’s “temporarily closed”

Thank you for your review, we apologize that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. The water outage from this past weekend was due to a faulty pump that needed to be replaced and although we were only down for three hours we are very sorry this effected your stay so much you needed to leave for the night. I have connected with the team and you should see a full refund for your stay. These usually take 3-5 business days to post to your respective card. I hope that you will give us another opportunity as the water challenge was out of our control and due to the overall nature of the evening the service was not indicative of what we strive for here at Windermere House.

We stayed two nights on February 4th and 5th and were able to enjoy a rare pair of beatiful sunsets including one imwhile enjoying the outdoor hot tub. The setting is very charming as well as relaxing and the staff friendly. Dining options were a bit limited at this time of year and we were disappointed that we were not able to access our balcony. The room was sparsely furnished but the bed was very comfortable. Looking forward to returning at a time when there is a bit more action.

Was exceptionally clean, staff was amazing, Booked for 2 nights..1 night only needed to expierence the beauty of the property at this time of year. Absolutely nothing to do .Be prepared to drive after driving 2 hours to see any sights.

Lots of character! Yet no charm no private beach no jacuzzi smell of propane anywhere around the pool or tennis court. TV channels were limited ancient and we only had access to every other channel. Cleaning missed our room when we were gone for 6 hours. The hotel was ancient terrible view for 90 percent of the hotel. Very bland and righout ugly hallways. Wanted to treat my family to a nice vacation was served a retirement home 0 kid friendliness. Food was overpriced 50$ for a small plate of bland spaghetti. Best part of the whole thing was the breakfast buffet. Will not be coming back extremely dissapointed.

Property was nice and amazing lakeside views. Two options for restaurants with very good live entertainment. Overall staff was welcoming. But… the rooms are plain and dated. Could be upgraded with a fridge, safe, a couch maybe and some paintings etc. Suggest you stop by for a drink and enjoy the views but maybe stay somewhere else for the price.
