1970s. Common areas ok, rooms outdated

Posted Jan 30, 2016
It appears domes renovations are in progress. Need to focus on rooms and hallways. Drab and depressing, lacking modern counter space, ran out of hot water....

OK if you want just a bed

Posted Dec 30, 2015
Pros: This hotel has a decent breakfast for kids that might be staying, and easy access to restaurants nearby, as well as shopping. Close to attractions.
Cons: Overall, I would say everything. Hotel is huge, but understaffed. Trying to make it better, but needs more work.
Location: Cosmosphere, Strataca, State Fairgrounds, Wal-Mart, Starbucks, Lowe's, Sirloin Stockade, Rib Crib, Pizza Ranch, Kwik Trip.
Stayed for 2 nights while on vacation. Ordered a King Suite w.Sofa Bed. The Suite was divided by French Doors that didn't close completely and also could not be closed from inside the King portion, but had to be closed from the outside. No Channel Guide for TV (Flatscreen TV's, but Analog picture signal, making everything blurry). No Bible in hotel (1st time that has happened). Toilet plugged up twice during stay. Sofa Bed didn't come with linens (had to call front desk). City had just had rain that iced over. Parking lot was a sheet of ice, and most of the sidewalks were as well. They never were plowed or salted/sanded during the 3 days we were there. Pool area was very chilly, and half was being renovated.

Freezing

Posted Nov 30, 2015
Pros: Memories of what it used to be like.
Cons: Turn the heat on please!!
Location: Close to the mall (which is essentially non-existent anymore), and close to restaurants. Just down the street from the Cosmosphere and Sports Arena.
2 fun looking pools but almost as cold in the water as the freezing temps outside. Hot tub was decent, but everyone that intended to swim sat in the hot tub instead because the pool was virtually unbearable. Even the hallways and public areas were cold and seemed as if the heat was not being used at all. The hotel has potential, and they are working on making it better, but I think it will take several months and a lot of dollars to get it to be good.

Terrific convention hotel

Posted Nov 1, 2015
Location: Many areas of interest in Hutchinson Kansas close by. Kansas State Fairfrounds nearby.
Huge place so hallways were long. Room was huge with a king bed. Bed very comfortable, lots of pillows, really big overstuffed chair with ottoman. Off season price can't be beat. 5 stars! Great pool area with hot tub and children's play area.

Reasonable rates. clean

Posted Nov 1, 2015
Pros: Affordability. comfortable
Location: It is off the highway a bit but worth the few extra blocks to get there
This is a stop on the way home. Second time to stay here. We came back because it was a good experience the first time. The staff is friendly, room is spacious and clean and the bed and pillows are comfortable.

0 star Nightmare

Two different rooms same result. Bugs in the room, black mold in the bath, looked like someone blew nose on the wall. I was accused of planting stuff and sabotaging room by by rude maintainence man who nearly knocked my son to the floor when he entered room unannounced.
