Downtown Hyanis hotel

Posted Dec 4, 2017
Pros: The location and bedding.
Cons: Warm things up. Don't be so cheaply run.
Location: It is on Main st which allowed us to walk to the activities that were taking place. We also were close enough to walk the harbor for the boat parade.
The hallways and elevator were very cold. The indoor pool was also very cold. It was so cold that my husband didn't even venture in after dipping a toe in. I only stayed in for 1 minute. The walls were so thin that every night I was kept up by my neighbors voices through the walls. I was also woken up at 6:45 by a man coughing and clearing his throat loudly. The continental breakfast was a joke. There was literally 2 oranges on a table instead of a bowl of fruit. The attendant would bring out 1 yogurt at a time. It very cheaply done. We ended up going out for breakfast the other two mornings. I did explain our complaints to the desk manager and he did say that he has had complaints before about the pool and building temperatures, but the owner does it to save money. We will not go back. The beds were comfortable and the location was great.

great hotel and accommodations

Posted Dec 4, 2017
Pros: accommodations were perfect. staff were helpful re: recommending a breakfast place nearby.
Cons: eliminate problem neighbors, however I don't know how anyone would do that.
Location: trip was to visit JFK Museum, which had closed the day before for the winter. Also, some recommended restaurants were closed for the season.
booked into #316 next to very noisy neighbors. complained the next morning and was told that I should have called while it was going on. Their TV was on well past midnight-loudly. At 5 am they started arguing. we could hear every word. Desk manager said to come back at noon and see if he could move us or them. Came back at 1pm and found different manager who knew nothing about the problem However, he finally moved us down the hall to #303 after 3 pm. Finally got a good night's sleep. Would like to thank the two housekeepers who moved us and made sure we were comfortable. They also secured new keys for the new room. All in all, the hotel was beautiful, and I would recommend it. However, noisy neighbors ruined out trip.

Carol, my apologies for the noisy neighbors - As I had mentioned the following morning, we have been more than happy to address the issue as it was going on - Please feel free to contact me should your travels bring you back to Cape Cod, and allow me an opportunity to make it right!

Good hotel they don’t bother u and let u enjoy your stay without a hassle. If I could recommend a hotel I’d say go to this one and go on Expedia first. They also have a pool and a nice breakfast in the morning so please go and write about your experience too !

Pros: Comfortable rooms, clean and private.
Cons: Security on outside entrances.
Location: Lots of restaurants nearby and retail shops. All in walking distance. The JFK Museum is within a 5 minute walk.
Location is great if you want to be near restaurants and retail stores. Very professional staff with nice accommodations. We are repeat customers and like it very much.

Great hotel for the price

Posted Nov 12, 2017
This is a simple hotel in a great location. Not the Taj but a clean room, restaurant and bar. There is a pool and hot tub but I didn't use them. Cant beat the price!

It was a nice overnight stay .we enjoyed the pool and hot tub .rooms were clean ..beds weren’t comfortable and the restaurant in hotel was pricey .But overall it was clean inside .Suggestion would be the outside of the building was deceiving it wasn’t welcoming .The balcony view wasn’t a view of anything except the parking lot .When people look for a place to stay and it says balcony view in their mind there thinking of a view not what there actually was which was nothing ..

Terrible Customer service & Meaningless Policy

Posted Oct 24, 2017
Encountered terrible customer service during my stay. I did not want any room/housekeeping during my 7-day stay, and had placed a do-not-disturb sign at the door. The hotel staff insisted that the room be checked every 3 days, inspiite of my refusal for housekeeping services in my room. Never experienced anything such as this in my stay at any other hotel. This experience certainly made me feel most unwelcome, as there was an inherent implication by the hotel that there could be something wrong if housekeeping services were turned down. I am a complete tee-totaller, don't smoke, don't take alcoholic beverages...and to have someone at the door wanting to check the room was beyond insulting & defied logic. I also was traveling solo, and did not have any other guests in my room, during my entire stay. Felt more like a strict boarding school than a welcoming hotel. Never felt insulted like this in my life. Terrible customer service & meaningless hotel policies, which surely will keep me & my friends/family away from this hotel for life.

Sonie, I’m sorry you felt that our policies were intrusive. Our policy requires that we check each room every 3 days, for your safety as well as ours. In light of recent tragic events, Hotel safety and security are a top priority. We did not require you vacate your room for services and you declined our offer of fresh towels, new amenities and linens. You state that you were traveling solo, yet a review of your reservation indicates you were not traveling solo and additional guests were seen departing your room as well as our restaurant? We had offered you a free cancellation after you were aware of our policy and you declined.
