Pros: BELOW AVERAGE

Moldy and broken

First room was moldy. Second room lights didn't work. Third room was an "upgrade" with a view of the lake and a big hole in the ground filled with trash.

Ok at first then it got worse

Pros: The building design was nice and the staff were pretty helpful
Cons: Would try to improve the bird problem and clean the pool better
Location: Not really much to do around the hotel but there are plenty of tuktuk to take you around.
The hotel is really nice considering where it is located. It has a nice landscape and unique designs. The local pigeons have taken a liking to the building structure. So there are tons of birds flying around and with that comes the bird poop everywhere. They do a decent job of keeping it clean though. The rooms are pretty nice, some spots here and here. In our room personally, we had a problem with fruit flies in the shower. They just would keep coming back after having the staff come on 3 different occasions on 3 different days to spray and clean. Assuming they are coming from the shower drains. The room was priced decent, but beware they charge you service fees and taxes for everything. Sometimes the fees and taxes are just as much as what you are purchasing. All in all, not bad for what you par for and the area it is in.

Parry and awesome Stay

Pros: dance club .
It was awesome stay and I love the dance club with DJ for Bollywood night. Staff was very friendly.

Good location but poor services and hygiene levels

Pros: Just the location.
Cons: Overall services and standards. You cannot pretend you are a luxury hotel when you do not have the standards to go with it.
Location: The location is the only good thing about the hotel. The view of Hussain Saagar lake is great.
I was met with a casual "Room not yet ready" greeting and offered a complimentary breakfast to make up for the wait as if it would help relax from the 12-hour long flight I had just come on. The Restaurant is filthy, the food is not fit for my dog and the the filthiness extends to the room as well. The flush would'nt work in the toilet bowl, the sink was choked and had dirt stains on it, and the toilet bowl itself was yellow due to poor hygiene standards. The lift lobby was stinking. I nearly had to beg for extra bottles of water in my room above the 4 half litre daily ration that the hotel had. In the restaurant, the bottles of water that were provided were a joke - one gulf and its over. I could not entertain any guest without being embarrassed since every time I asked for an extra teacup or china or cutlery, I was reminded that there is a cover charge. Not a pleasant experience at all.

What bad manteinance can do to an old favorite

I have stayed in this hotel around 5 years ago and I had very good memories of it, nice architecture, good decoration and awesome restaurant, but what a dissapointment now! You can clearly see very bad maintenance in the rooms and restaurant. The lobby remains a nice place but once you get inside you face reality. The white furniture at the rooms looks damage, dirty. The bathroom gave me the feeling of lack of supervision to the cleaning staff but for years! The water in the toilet was brownish. Air conditioning wasnt working properly. The restaurant chairs were very dirty, very uninviting to eat there. I definitely will look for other choices next time in the city,
