Hydra is Beautiful and the Hydroussa fits right in

Posted Sep 20, 2017 on Hotels
Nice sized room, but the window would not open. Bathroom was dated. Decor throughout was of a period consistent with the age of the mansion and the photos were very interesting. Easy to find from the ferry landing. We enjoyed the walks along the shore trails to nearby beaches. This was above average cost for us but it was high season and busy in mid September. Breakfast was excellent.

Great service. Very helpful and accommodating staff. The building is an old house, well preserved and centrally located. We had a great time. Decent breakfast.

Hidden, value for money, gem in Hydra

Posted Jul 9, 2017
Pros: Location, breakfast and price.
Cons: Not really
Location: It an easy walk to the harbour with its many restaurants, shops and boats as well as where the ferry docks.
We stayed at the Hydroussa Hotel after an amazing Greek wedding to wind down. It is well run, quiet and the breakfast is excellent. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

Beautiful old sea captain;s house

Posted Jul 6, 2017
Pros: Comfortable room, great breakfast, friendly staff
Cons: Not really
Location: Very central and easy to get to the port, but not too close meaning it was very quiet (apart from the occasional mule train clopping by!)
Had a really lovely stay on Hydra and stayed at the Hydroussa Hotel. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and we had a great unlimited breakfast every day. Great value for money and an easy walk to the port and main centre of Hydra. I highly recommend this hotel as an honest, value for money place to stay on the island.

The staff was extremely helpful. Away from noise and crowds at the port. Just a short walk from the port. I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat
