Quite dated personally I found the bed very uncomfortable also the pillows so had hardly got any sleep fair bit of noise from water system through the building

A good hotel by the harbour for a low price which was good. The staff were great and the room had amenities such as iron, hairdryer, coffee and soap etc.. Negatives were that the walls are so thin you can hear every door slam or conversation from other guests rooms. The reception staff did offer to allow me to change rooms for my second night to be fair. Also I didnt find the mattress very comfy so I didn't get the best sleep. The pool is an extra charge of £3 and is quite a small pool and the hotel offers a small gym. Parking is £5 a day and the car park is within the hotel. I didnt eat there so can't comment on the food but they offered a good choice of menu and happy hour on drinks.

The room is nice and now has a fridge which is new to here. The only criticism is that no one comes in the empty the bins or replenish the tea, coffee etc unless you request it the day before. This is an old building and this is shown in the attention to detail to maintenance like door handles bath taps etc. May see silly but taken for granted as better in other hotels. Also the toilet was dirty below the water line.

A very basic hotel. Used it as a stopover so was absolutely fine for a night. Just don’t expect anything amazing. Clean room and bathroom. Lifts available.

A return visit to the Burstine to visit family. Hotel was packed this weekend as near Christmas. Can't complain as a really good cheap hotel.

Had a nice 5 night stay, beautiful views over the cliffs. Food was fine could be a bit hotter but good choice.

You get what you pay for
Nice hotel, nice staff. No disabled parking due to work going on, but that's a temporary thing. It's start there again. Oh, and the bar closes super early for some strange reason.

You get what you pay for. Good location but the hotel is old and basic. Room is bare minimum, arrived to a cold room with one electric heater. Hotel needs a real good refurbishment.

Staff work to make this place fit for this era but it’s a losing battle. Check in at 4pm and check out at 10am really like a doss house. Folkestone - compulsory purchase this monstrosity and replace with something nice.

This was great value and far better than expected. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was large as clean. The leisure club is superb, a real bonus. Entertainment although cheesy is also a bonus. We ate in the Victorian restaurant which again was value for money. Parking is £5 a day, which is a bit pricey but cheaper than over the road. We had the most amazing weekend and will definitely return.

Hotel grubby infact dirty, room small dirty and in need of decoration, mould on windows. Staff less than helpful, hotel struggled to deal with family needs. Really unpleasant experience.

As an ex-Folkestone lad I love the harbour and East Cliff views. An annual nostalgia trip has been a shock regarding what's changed. But I still choose the Burstin Hotel for its location and ease of car parking. High Street walk up to town, or Road of Remembrance, or even Shangrala Steps...one can't get closer to the centre than that Hotel.
