Nice place to stay in Osaka!

Posted Jun 5, 2017
Pros: I like the onsen and the restaurant.
Cons: Furniture and carpet upgrade as well as more electric outlet in the rooms.
Location: The location is further up in the mountains. There are not much things to do nearby.
I have a very nice experience with Fushioukaku. The ryokan was a nice experience for anyone who has not been to a ryokan - traditional Japanese hospitality and outdoor onsen. Although the ryokan itself is further away from the city center, it is worth the stay. They do provide free shuttle to transfer from the hotel to the nearby Ikeda station and back. The ryokan is a little old and need upgrade as far as furniture and carpets in the room but the hospitality and service was outstanding. The cafe and restaurant were clean with very nice and comfortable furniture. If you sit at the outdoor cafe, they will provide blankets in case you are cold. The food were served with excellent presentation and taste delicious as well. The onsen was the highlight. They provide lockers, soap, shampoo, conditioner, blow dryers, sanitized combs, etc. Clean and organized, the onsen was a great experience as well as relaxing. The atmosphere was soothing and peaceful. Overall, I recommend Fushioukaku to anyone who wants to experience traditional Japanese hospitality. I definitely will stay there again.

Under expectation

Posted May 16, 2017
Pros: The toiletries they provide inside the Hot Spring shower and finishing room.
Cons: The hot spring water was too hot to soak in. May be can consider to add some cold water to level the temperature.
Location: We rent a car so we can tour around Ikeda. There is a nearby Ramen restaurant (on the way to Ikeda) is a great restaurant to eat in. Only3 mins drive
Hotel a little old. However, hotel staff service were excellent. Overall, due to we went in Japan golden week holiday season, the price is quite high and it's not value for money.

Peace and Tranquility in traditional style

Posted Apr 25, 2017
Pros: Staff, food, hot springs bathing, peace.
Cons: Not much, it was perfect.
This hotel has everything you need to chill and relax, but not for "luxury spa" lovers. This is strictly traditional Japanese. The staff are excellent and will guide you through you experience. Some rooms have outdoor personal bathing and there are communal hot springs to try as well. The wearing of a yukate is optional and helps add to the ambience. We visited Fushioukaku at the end of a busy holiday to relax and it was great. The package included a Japanese meal in the evening which was nothing less than a banquet. There is also a shuttle bus to collect you from Ikeda station. Highly recommended😁😁

Highly recommend with hot spring inside your room, food is good, will be a little cold at night. Must visit the temple with 6 to 7 minutes walk.
