Parking where you want it is not always easy to find in Olympia, so it is handy that the hotel has a little plot in which about five cars can fit. We arrived to a warm welcome and were shown our room and its amenities by a very attentive and kind ageing lady, whom we assumed was the owner, and who never stopped smiling throughout our visit. The room had all the facilities we required for a very pleasant stay, including toiletries, a safe and a fridge, and was not noisy in the least; there was also a very nice breakfast at a modest price. Everything was clean, modern and worked and we had the impression that problems would have been quickly and efficiently dealt with. The hotel’s proximity to the ancient site and museum was a definite plus – it is a mere 10 minutes walk on level ground – yet the hotel is also in the heart of the town. Our only problem is that we had, we thought, pre-paid our room, but the owner was adamant that this was not so. This is a problem that remains to be resolved at the time of writing. However, the financial issue notwithstanding, we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
