Wasn't worth the 509$

Posted Feb 23, 2017
Paid 500$ for a room with a (view) terrible view, unless you like looking at other buildings. View - something decent to look out of your room from. Overall a good stay though. Thanks.

NO value for money.

Posted Feb 22, 2017
Pros: Room Service
Cons: Maintenance. Cleanliness. Cost per night.
Location: Close to WIN Stadium
Hello, I wish to provide the following feedback on our recent stay at the Sage Hotel Wollongong on 19th Feb in room 405. My experience started with booking the room several days prior, with the female (sorry didn’t get the name) receptionist advising me that it was a minimum 2 night booking on weekends. I then managed to book a single room through Expedia. Upon check in we were advised the system was down and the room key would only work once. We were totally fine with that until after leaving the hotel just once we had a total of 5 keys re-cut, none of which worked. It was only that there was a staff member on the fourth floor each time and he was extremely helpful and let us into our room. We went to withdraw some cash but unfortunately the teller machine was out of order. Room service was quick and good value for money. Our room however was extremely substandard considering the price. The bathroom had mix matched tiles and the shower screen had extensive mould around the surrounds. The carpet was wet over near the sliding door. The curtains were very dirty and falling down in several places. The carpet didn’t even meet the wall it is unravelling and looks like it has been lifted up and not put down properly. There was a hairband and sock under the bed. The toilet seat was crooked and unable to be moved into place. The shower head was shooting all over the place it was hitting the plaster roof and splashing back into the sink. The room felt old, tired and dirty

Disappointed by this stay

Posted Feb 20, 2017
Stayed in this hotel before. Came back because we enjoyed the view and bath tub. This time view was of buildings, no bathtub (devestated) . Pillows were so uncomfortable, woke up with a stiff neck and headache. Food trays in halls. A bit disappointing.

Very nice stay in great central location

Posted Jan 27, 2017
Pros: Modern, clean and well located.
Cons: Mini-bar restocking and charging errors
Location: Near the centre of town only a short walk from many bars, cafe's and restaurants.
Overall, enjoyed the stay at Sage. One concern was that at check-out they tried to charge me for wine from the mini-bar. Didn't drink in my room and noticed on one night I did consume some chips and chocolate and only the chocolate was replaced the next day. Presume they might try to charge the next occupant for that. Need to be a little more diligent/careful with mini-bar restocking.

Thank you for your constructive feedback regarding our Mini Bar service. I have passed this on to our F&B Manager to address with his team. Otherwise it sounds like you enjoyed your time with us at Sage Wollongong. Our location does offer easy access to many eateries and activities within the city.
