The hotel is in a pleasant, quiet residential neighborhood with little nearby--just a few fast food restaurants and a grocery store. It's a twenty minute walk from the nearest edge of the city center, and a 35-40 minute walk to the train station.
We stayed in a one-bedroom which was spacious but not very well laid out: the minuscule kitchen area provided no storage space whatever, although folding tables provided reasonable work surface. The furniture was a bit battered, with a tear in the sofa, but the floor was hard-surfaced and reasonably clean. Hallway carpets are a bit stained but not awful by French standards.
Our biggest complaint concerns noise from other rooms: the bathroom door slams shut automatically, and we heard doors slamming all night. Management should provide a way to cushion the doors so that they don't bang.
There is a laundry room in the hotel: small, but with good machines.
Please note that management is around only on a limited schedule: very limited on weekends. If no one is present, there is a lockbox system for getting one's key.
On balance, although no feature of the hotel is more than average, reasonable pricing made this hotel an excellent value for a week-long stay.
