Needs a renovation

Seemed like no one there, but we couldn't get a king bed room. Hallways smelled and there were clumbs of mud in hallway. Trucks parked outside our window, started and left running, our room smelled like exhaust, plus noisy. Won't stay again.

Cleanliness

Bathtub was dirty in our first room, then we talked to manager and was moved to another dirty room with a nasty bathtub as well. We ended up leaving and getting a refund.

Somehow we got a smoking room?

Pros: The staff was very nice but seem to have their hands tied in helping us move to a non smoking room without charging us.
Cons: A manager should have been there to help us out.
Location: IUP is down the street
The staff here first of all were wonderful. The problem came from the fact we some how got a smoking room from booking through expedia. Whether we did by accident or not we could not switch rooms without paying an additional charge. The place was EMPTY! The person at the desk said there was nothing they could do to waive the fee. That is terrible customer service. Seriously is a non smoking room that much more in a hotel that could not have been 50 percent full? The company should let the staff have digression to help us out. So after we paid the additional fee we went to the new room around 9:30pm. After getting changed to sleep I went in to brush my teeth and noticed the toilet was still soiled! Yes there was you know what under the rim. I just shut the lid and should have called to move again but instead I did not sleep and got up early and left and used the restroom at my daughters house. I have stayed here before and never had an issue.This time I would say it was dirty. I could not sleep thinking if they did not clean the toilet, maybe they did not clean the sheets??? The towels were shredded and old. I can handle old but dirty no. Seriously this is the first bad review I have ever written about a hotel so i know i will never stay here again but others may have a better experience like I have had other stays.

The issue with the room type had to do with the booking agent. An on-line travel agent, simply guarantees a guest a "bed" in a hotel. They do not guarantee a non-smoking room or a room with 2 beds. When we receive the reservation, we do not know what type of room a guest has requested. The on-line travel agent reserves what ever type of room we have left. The billing processes through the on-line travel agent causes the issues with moving and or changing a reservation. As for the issue with the cleanliness of your room, as you noted, this is not a regular occurance for us and I assure you that I will address this issue with the housekeeping department. We do hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you with the great customer service and accommodations upon which we pride ourselves. Sincerely,

Helped with mix-up!

We had a mix-up when checking in because the on-line records indicated we wanted a smoking room when we actually wanted a non-smoking room. The assistant manager helped us straighten out the mix-up, and was very helpful and friendly.

Uncomfortable beds, too many small pillows, thin walls and doors Will avoid in future

Our matresses are of the besk quality matress with a pillow top and our pillows are standard size but must have the pillow case folded over. Good breakfast. Good people.

The breakfast they offer is extensive, with a variety of choices. My room was dated but a good value for the money.

Jacuzzi tub was a nice touch. Room was not vacuumed, and the coffee tray was dusty and looks like it wasn't touched for weeks perhaps months. Breakfast was very pleasant and would go back that. Bed was not comfortable and I tossed all night.
