Went for a Convention

Posted Aug 3, 2015
showered and there was a crack in the tub, some of my red highlights leaked. I was unable to get the sprayer to the spots, so I figured housekeeping could get them out when they came through (happens all the time at home, washes off). We get back to the hotel late the next evening, our keycard was inactive, so i went to the desk where i was informed that there was "dye ALL over the tub and it was ruined, they needed my credit card" I said, it should have washed off and I was instructed to talk to the manager the next day. Upon returning to my room, The sink was not cleaned (small bits of coffee grounds were still in there) the hand towels were never replaced on out 5 day stay, and the bathroom tub wasnt even touched. I took on old wash cloth and wiped out the dye, there was a bit left so the next day I stopped and bought a basic cleaner, sprayed the spots, walked away for 5 minutes, used a cup and rinsed them away. the tub was cleaner than when I found it. I informed the manager yesterday who tried to tell me the head maid scrubbed it with bleach and couldnt remove it , i explained how easily i removed it, and pointed out the crack, mildew and cobwebs, these were never cleaned. The next night we were left with no towels, no wash cloths. We had stopped on out way in to get the key card reactivated ( a nightly ordeal) and when called about the towels, instructed to come down and get them. There are no elevators. supposedly my card is refunded for the tub, ill watch.

Good location!

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: I do have to say the that the front desk ladies were extremely nice and helpful. We missed breakfast one morning and went to vending in search of OJ,
Cons: the pool
Location: Many things nearby; Lucas Oil, Applebees, Starbucks, Hard Rock
We stayed two nights, Thursday and Friday. Pool was pretty dirty, in fact on both days I had to use the net myself to skim the top bugs off. Our room was good with the exception of the shower would drain and you would be standing in 6 inches of water after your shower and also our toilet seat didn't fit. It was for a round toilet and our toilet was oval and sadly it wasn't secure and would move around.

Ok but nothing great!

Posted Jul 30, 2015
We had reservations, but when we arrived the desk clerk was running upstairs several times to find a clean room. Pool was closed the entire 2 days of our stay. It was just a disappointing stay! They failed our expectations & standards of a Best Western!

Lacking at best

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel did not have an elevator. Did not receive accommodations that had been requested. Pop machine sold out, Ice machine not working. Just seemed like everything we wanted, they didn't have or it wasn't working.

noisy hotel next to a fireworks retailer

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: breakfast. handlebars in shower. clean
Cons: see above.
Location: na
very noisy. a sign in hallway at 10 pm asking patrons to be considerate of others would have been nice. we had the handicapped room which was at the beginning of the hall. good for the handicapped but the noisiest room there. the shower chair was greatly appreciated but rubber stoppers were missing off the legs. the stool was not raised, causing difficulties with transfers.

OK but some serious flaws

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Easy checkin\checkout, pleasant desk staff and breakfast staff, comfortable bed.
Cons: Used wash cloths in bathroom is not acceptable! Ice machines were inadequate for the number of guests. Bigger in-room coffee maker.
Location: Was there for a wedding not touring.
Room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Bathroom had used wash cloths hanging from shower bar. Insufficient ice machines at hotel.

Basic hotel

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: Easy to get to anywhere from it. Fridge and microwave.
Strangely located entrance. No rollaways, which meant one of us had to sleep on the floor each night. Beside a fireworks store. Walk across a parking lot to a Denny's (or was it Bob Evans?). Easy access to highway and town.

Good Price - Good Stay

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Desk Staff
Cons: The exterior looks like a dump, but the rooms are actually ok.
Location: Lots of nearby restaurants, but not chains
Hotel Desk staff very helpful and kind. Floor in hallway was damp, so a musty smell permeated into the room. Did not use any of the facilities - just the room for a very quick stay.
