I felt unsafe, I never wanted to leave my room. Nor did I even want to stay in it. I have traveled all my life and this was the first hotel I didn't like.

Run Down HotelPosted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: It was quiet and I liked being up on the 4th floor.
Cons: Pool area and outside surrounding area of hotel need upgrading.
Location: The area seems to be in a more run down part of the city. Did not venture out to do anything so don't know what restaurants or anything was nearby.
The hotel had a nice size pool that was clean, but the pool area was very run down and the spa was not operational. The rooms were clean and fine, but the outside area of the hotel is run down and not in the greatest area of town.

Ok.Posted Aug 15, 2015
Cons: If some of the area around it was different, but I'm not sure you can fix that (I.E -- $34/night run down motel next to it...)
Location: Close to Indy - easy access to highway. Very nearby -- not much -- just a small area on the outskirts of town - walmart, tacobell, your typical places
I read through the reviews on Expedia before going. I can't say I was "scared" or felt unsafe -- but I could tell it was a rougher part of town, more industrial. All locks and entrances seemed to work properly. Staff was very friendly and nice. Helpful as well. I was always greeted. Staff engaged with me throughout my stay. Even had one chase me out the dor as I almost walked out of the room without my phone after checking out. Other guests were pleasant. The room was a comfortable temperature when we entered and all equipment worked. Beds were comfortable with extra pillows! =] Continental breakfast wasn't extensive...but very few are - still got my fill before leaving for the day. Was easy access off of the highway and only about 10 min hwy ride from downtown. So -- close place to stay without the $200 a night ticket of those hotels that are in the city. I'd say nice hotel - not a five star - but, thats not what they advertise as either. As long as you're not used to the ritz carlton, you'll be comfortable staying at the Ramada.

No longer Ramada East. Is now a Clarion Inn.Posted Aug 10, 2015
Hotel under new management and undergoing renovations. Major upgrade from when I stayed there about 5 years ago. Breakfast was not up to the standards of other Choice Hotels I have stayed in, but I would definitely stay there again if I needed a room in Indianapolis. Room was clean and comfortable and food at the in-house restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Ramada-21st streetPosted Jul 1, 2015 on Hotels
No towels or bathmat or bathroom not ckeaned. Didn't look like any maid service on Saturday. Desk clerk brought up towels immediately. Bathroom not cleaned. No coffee or soap provided.

The bed was hard, the room was warm, the bathroom was small. There is no cable or a microwave. We went down to the restaurant to get a carryout and I stood there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to come take my order, at first I thought they were closed because I didn't see any employees, then they came from the back. I asked for ketchup and mustard and when I got back to the room, no mustard.

Upgraded breakfast bar!Posted May 30, 2015
Pros: Check-in was easy, good location
Location: We were dropping off a passenger at the bus station after we checked in, and it was easy to get downtown and back.
We were there for Indy 500 weekend (which we realized the day before) but the hotel was quiet and conveniently located near I-70 on the east side of town. The big surprise was the breakfast--all the usual stuff (cereal, yogurt, etc.) plus BISCUITS and GRAVY! Not too healthy, but a good start to our long drive. And it was in the restaurant, which meant there were comfortable seats and lots of space.

good for a few nightPosted May 19, 2015 on Hotels
Nice room, good service but the walls are kind of thin and could hear the people on either side of me at night. Breakfast is in a night bar that is kind of grungy and sticky...after the first day I avoided it. THe staff is very nice and easy to get to everything.

HorriblePosted May 18, 2015
First night, ceiling in the bathroom started leaking-came back to a flood in the bathroom. Got moved to another room- this one had ants in it and hair in the bathroom. Shady people hung out around the doors (which were unlocked) at all hours of the night. Felt very uncomfortable staying there with my kid.
